and to think we are not nice at MSG and take care of our players, their sons, and the interns that are the back bone of the organization!!

Pat Jr, no pressure son!!!! Nobody will ever compare you to Balkman or your old man.

Remember, if you can make it here............

Good luck! Stay healthy and maybe you'll make the NBA!

Yes! Just what we need, another small forward! Ha- sarcasm aside, it's a nice signing- he should have got on the team instead of Roberson 2 years ago, and he has a great work ethic and ethusiasm. I know we really need a back up C or PF, and while my brain tells me we should have signed a different player, I'm still happy about this signing. Hmm- I suspect Alan Hahn knew about this yesterday as he said on KNL that the 15th player the knicks should sign was PE Jr.

Yeah its a community signing but who cares. I hope he goes off and forces MDA to play him some minutes. Good bench guys who bring energy when your team is in a funk are valuable. You just know that if he gets in an NBA game he's gonna be off the chain with hustle and enthusiasm.

yep... and there will be one home game this season where he throws down a thunderous dunk, when the Knicks are getting blown out, which will get the crowd to explode, and is the beginning of a furious comeback

watch that happen

who are our SGs on this roster? Chandler, Walker, Azu, Roger Mason Jr, Toney Douglas... aside from Chandler (more a SF but played SG well last year) there are definatly minutes to be won at the SG spot.

Marcus Landry > Patrick Ewing Jr

Signing these guys gives me a feeling a possible trade is brewing.

The fact that they signed guys who they drafted and from their summer league team to fill up the remaining spots on their roster?

I don't buy it.

I don't think a Melo trade is imminent by any stretch.

Awesome move. The organization is starting to show it has character again. I hope he makes the team. I thought he looked good in the summer league.

What kind of contract? Might just be for the preseason. Is it guaranteed?

...It is a non-guaranteed deal and Ewing Jr. will compete for a roster spot.

They might just be throwing him some bucks as a sign of affection for his old man.

I'm all for this as long as he or his dad does not start complaining about his playing time.
Last thing we need is for the beat writers to start questioning the Knicks respect for Patrick Ewing Sr. when he does not sniff more than 5 minutes a game.
There are allot of players ahead of him on the depth chart. As long as he is a good citizen, I'm all for keeping him.
I don't think any of us want drama on this team. Just play and get it done.

Its an audition. LIkely if he does well he gets overseas offer or another shot with another team unless we have room for him.

Lets not get all in a tizz cuz we could have signed Earl Barron or that Landesburg fella that never got drafted.

i think ewing makes the team to be the guy who comes in blow outs to please the fans at msg...a la greg butler, and as hahn stated...looking at the responses here, seems to be the logical choice since ewing fits the mold he described...also gonna work hard in practice, etc.

that is exactly why i wish he'd been signed before over other scrubs... at least it gives the fans someone to cheer for & can knock off a few highlight dunks & spark some energy at MSG... NY fans are gonna love cheering for this kid if he ever sees playing time.
