... full potential?"

Whether The Mayor starts or finishes, he is essential to defensive matchups against fluid frontcourt players. Forget his scoring potential for a moment, concentrate on problem players like Paul Pierce or Ron Artest who combine strength and versatility.

In the past, Chandler has taken on brutal assignments from Kobe to Lebron. If he is included in the next rumor, there better be a defender willing and able to take those type of assignments.

"I think Chandler will be a 20 point scorer. Once he believes that he ‘s among the elite players he will be a star. Believing is half the challenge. I think this will be a breakout year for Chandler."

I don't think they want to pay Chandler. No biggie to me. Dolan is back to win now more anyway.

He's got a chance to be very good or great 2--its right at J Johnsons level at the same age. I'll be quite honest--I would give Randolph Gallo and Chandler one helluva look together--what exactly are we rushing for on anyone? If we put 2 years into rebuilding-why cant we finish off the pivotal third year which could propel us into 10+ great years?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Walt Frazier--Christ if Jim Dolan wants advice--take it from Clyde--the guy is smart and savvy. Do you ever hear him saying something stupid pertaining to basketball--actually the guy seems to have an intelligent answer for any question. Clyde knows--the guys I am scared of are the GMs behind the scenes the Gabriels and the guy from Toronto--

I have a good feeling about this team--buy somehow--with dolan's credit card--and the insistence to keep the in/out going because of cap space NEXT year-- and the over emphasis on 3 point shooting--something foul is coming.

RIP Crushalot😞

I believe in Chandler! Too bad his low key attitude isn't that popular with some fans. They'd rather have a streaky guy like Nate. Chandler to me should stay a Knick, I Think he deserves just as much recognition from our FO as Gallo should. Imo.

What Martin said

The part where I said said "I think" implied it was my opinion.

The Knicks want to be able to make a run at Carmelo or the other 2011 Free agents. Guys like Horford, Noah, and Stuckey may potentially be available. While they are arent the cream of the crop they are upgrades.

Walsh didnt pay Lee so I doubt he pays Chandler with Gallo and Randolph on the roster. If we get Carmelo forget about it.

I'm with Clyde. I would include Chandler in a trade for Carmelo, but not for ANOTHER European type.

I get what you're saying, though I don't see it exactly like you do- the problem with Chandler, and what makes it very unlikely he stays with us after this year is that I think he counts as a cap hold of $6mil, which along with Azubuike (also $6mil) makes it pretty much impossible to be under the cap enough to sign Carmelo to a max contract without renouncing his/their rights (though I'm no cap expert- I hope I'm wrong!). I think the only circumstances Chandler returns is if we don't get Carmelo (I think Chandler gets signed over any other free agent available next year), or we trade gallo and not him to Denver to get Carmelo. When you also factor in the changes to the CBA that will probably make things more difficult, cap wise, then it looks very unlikely that Chandler is a Knick after this season, unfortunately.

I agree with this... I don't think "they" (management) want to pay The Mayor, much like they didn't want to pay Lee and Nate. Not that any were bad players, they just can't justify the cap hit

Chandler isnt going to command big money, and if he does its because he had a great year and the Knicks won a bunch of games. If thats the case you resign him anyway.. who cares?

Artest is making MLE, same w/ Shane Battier. Chandler isnt getting more than those guys on the open market

Chandler will get more than them. Artest gave a discount to the Lakers because he wanted to win a ring otherwise he could have easily gotten more money. Battier is a good role player Bruce Bowen type. Chandler is simply a better player than Battier and like Clyde said he is going to get better. I'm expecting a breakout year from Chandler.
