I wonder what this means. Is Chandler finally on the move for Rudy? Is Kelenna Azubuike a little further away from coming back 100% than we were led to believe? And what the hell's the plan with Landry Fields? Not only do they sign Rautins first over Fields which made ZERO sense, now Maurice Ager?? There's a real headscratcher for ya..And as far as I'm concerned, if we we're just on the lookout for SG depth -- Sylven Landesberg would've been a much better choice -- bigger, about 6 years younger with better upside. Puzzling..Maybe it's nothing -- maybe they're looking to put together as competitive a training camp as possible (Ager's been around for a little while now - he has some NBA experience)..Training camp invite with a remote chance to make the club??? Who knows??

I have a feeling we are going to get Rudy Fernandez. Dolan doesn't like players getting into trouble. Nice knowing you Chandler. Hopefully we get Carmelo though.

People are getting jumpy! It only makes sense as a training camp invite with a remote chance of making the team- SG depth is fine, even if we were shipping out Chandler, because we'd be getting back Rudy (still don't see that happening at all- especially in the next few days- for a start he's in Europe for the World tournament so he couldn't do a medical)- what we'd need then would be a SF/PF.

You could argue that it would mean we'd be sending out another SG with Chandler, but I don't see who- We'd never trade Chandler AND Azubuike, we just signed Roger mason Jr, and I don't see us shipping out Bill Walker with Chandler either. I suppose maybe it could mean we'd be getting rid of TD, but I doubt it- Why on earth would Walsh get Rudy, a 3pt good shooter, at the expense of TD (also a good 3pt shooter) AND Chandler- that doesn't make the team better at all and removes two potential assets in a Carmelo trade (if they decide to trade for Carmelo, which I hope they don't!)- it's not even close to a wise move!

So like I said at the start this is probably just a training camp move- however I wish Walsh would turn his attention to the C/PF- we need a back up much more than we need ANOTHER SG

I agree. He's just a body for training camp. His chances of making this team are between slim and none - and they're a lot closer to none.

Yeah I think you guys are right although my first reaction was -- wow this guy's a pretty good talent even though he hasn't really caught on anywhere in the NBA yet. Better than the usual training camp fodder.. I immediately thought the Knicks may have been looking to fill a need now for some reason (injury update on Azubuike, maybe a player was on the move, etc..)..We would've heard something by now so it's probably not that...Not a bad move though for what it's worth..I saw plenty of this guy in college -- prototypical 2-guard, 6'5"-ish, very athletic, can run dunk and shoot with range..Very Shannon Brown-like..They obviously had an interest in Brown for this system - a 2 with those type of qualities. Ager brings a lot of the same things to the party..Ager and Paul Davis were very good players for Tom Izzo at Michigan St. (Davis is a 6'10" 250 lb. PF that can rebound and really shoot the ball)..I really liked both guys -- surprised they both never really caught on somewhere. Both have talent. Ager played pretty well in the D-league last year in about 20 games..

Hey does anyone know exactly how long the Knicks have to sign Landry Fields and Jerome Jordan? Just curious..There's got to be a deadline coming up, no?

wouldn't they hold rights until the next draft?

Maybe Rautins had oversea offers and we had to move?

Maybe we want him to play for Canada and he wants a little protection against injury?

Maybe it's from stupidity?

Most os know all the fact unlike Walsh.
