Because if neither is, we are keeping our best defenders against SG's or PG's out on the perimeter on the bench. I think at least one of them has to get minutes if we want to continue to improve our defense. I like Penny's D in the help role right now and Marbury's too, but I think all the current Knicks except for KT could use some help in one on one situations. Of course if we keep doing a good job of forcing turnovers and scoring this may be moot, but I think its something to condsider right now.

FWill may end up traded and Shanderson may get sent to Utah for draft picks and cash.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Don't need to stretch out the rotation. It should be like this
9 man rotation thats if they still have the same roster
Pg. Starbury/Norris
SG. Houston
Cen Mutombo/Doleac
Pf. Thomas/Harrington
Sf. Van Horn/Hardaway

Hardaway would play either SF. or Sg. and Marbury would sometimes move over to Sg while Moochie plays Pg. Thats a luxury many teams wished they had..
The Future. GO KNICKS!

With that rotation, I see room for Frank to play some backup 2 behind Allan.

We also need to get Sweets some minutes too.

We'll be able to solidify the rotation after the next deal and/or by the trade deadline. That way we can be more sure of what we're working with, and not have to worry about certain players being showcased for trade purposes.

The point I was making here is that a team that needs help on D shouldn't leave two of its better defenders off the bench. Frank should be in instead of Moochie (I still don't see what Moochie gives the Knicks that Frank doesn't except a little experience, which IMO isn't worth it). Harrington has played really, really well recently, so Anderson isn't gonna get minutes at his expense or Penny's I guess. I

f we really can move Anderson I'd be very surprised given his contract. That's not to say he's that bad a player and won't help someone though. I think there a few teams in the league right now that could use a solid backup wing. He looked a little embarassed to be in the game for the last two minutes last night to preserve the streak.

I agree. With regard to Frank/Moochie, it seems Wilkens prefers to play veterans. Obviously, he's more familiar with Norris, but I hope that if FW isn't traded that Wilkens will see his value as he watches him practice.

Along with his defense, Anderson would seem to be a good fit for the fast breaking offense the Knicks are trying to run. I don't see why he can't get 10 mpg behind Houston, while Penny backs up Van Horn.

I dont think Anderson will get minutes with the NYK becuase Penny is gonna take his minutes, can play 1,2 or 3 and is doing the little things well right now. I agree Fwill is better than Moochie, but I think he will be traded soon so I am not so concerned with this. I think the way the Knicks play better defense is to pick up the effort. the Knicks arent built as a defensive team. If Larry Brown and JVG couldnt get KVH and Houston to play good defense Lenny Wilkens wont. If the knicks give more effort on D i will be happy with that.
