Jerome Jordan, which NBA rights are held by the New York Knicks, could also play in Europe next season. The 23-year-old Jamaican center is on the radar of Hemofarm, and could land in the Serbian team if the Knicks finally doesn't sign him. Jordan has played during the last four seasons for the University of Tulsa, averaging 15.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

I thought this was a done deal

Knicks have signed Rautins, but not other 2 draft picks.

Let me think--Rautins absolutely scked and while JJ did not play consistently showed more signs + we paid 1mm for him--we will sign Rautins and bring him in and let JJ go to Euorope--much rather have him play D league.

I find it odd that out of the 3 rookies we signed Rautins first, but haven't yet signed the other two. I suppose this makes sense if we don't want to sign him for this season- I hope JJ goes abroad for a year at this point, just because it gives us a roster spot to sign a front court back up who can actually contribute (Earl Barron since there's very little left on the free agency market. That still leaves Fields- I can't help but wonder if they're shopping him because I don't see any other reason for him not being signed first out of the three- he's the only one that showed talent in the summer league!

I'm not sure whats up with EARL BARRON..Knick fans seem to be the only people interested in this guy..and although he did well the last 2 weeks of the season, DW has made no indication he is of any importance.

Come now, let's be patient and see what Donnie does. We know he's too smart and deliberate to not have thought all this thru. They have their reasons for this delay I'm sure.

Rautins probably was willing to sign a crappy non-guaranteed deal.

it makes perfect sense because we are not in practice. If you listen to scouts/coaches they all say the kid is a gym rat, has good skills and works as hard as anyone. Maybe he's better than he's shown. Maybe we should have taken Lance Stevenson. Maybe the current staff as plan and actually knows what they are doing. Just a thought. We are like 6-7 weeks from preseason games. More to be revealed.

While this management group is certainly capable of making mistakes I think they (Walsh) have shown with some patience that they have a pretty idea of what they are doing. Not every player is right now guy.

Maybe Rautins had other offers no communicated for our convienence to judge.

Maybe Rautins value was not predicated on his summer league play exclusively.

If so you also cut Walker.

Im not going to indict the knicks on Rautins one way or the other.

Jordan should play in the Euro League if its one year. He'll develop a helluva lot more over there than he would over here. We would be getting back a better player in theory and would have an open roster spot this season for a player who is ready to contribute.

Just ask yourself, what would OKC do?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I'd let JJ go to Europe and retain his rights. Then I'd sign Louis Admundson.

being sent over to europe for a year since it's unlikely he'd get pt this season.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

lack of credible comp (is my guess)
I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the D-League is considered a lesser league than the Euro. I know I see the Euro league(s) as being superior as far as player development.

Sure he could go to the D-League and learn how to dunk and play no defense; should he go to europe he has a greater chance of developing better fundamentals

I think that you usually sign your earlier pick in this situation.

I would not mind seeing Jordan play a year in Europe. I think it would be great for his development, and I would think that it would be better than the DL.

How does it make little sense? We don't have to sign him. We can hold onto his rights while he plays in Europe and hopefully he improves and comes over here in the future.
