During Phoenix's great years mostly used an 8 man rotation.

The starting lineup will consist of:

Amare
Randolph
Gallo
Chandler
Felton

(in no particular order lol)

So who will be the lucky 3?

The 1st man off the bench (formerly barbosa) must be able to play starters mins. Im going with mason jr for that.

Im thinking the remaining 2 will be:

Azu
TD

What do you think? Let the opinions fly!

Had enough Melo?

I think we need a big man not named turriaf--can you get me Carl Landry or if we cant bring back Earl Barron:) Turriaf Mosgov JJ whoever wins that battle should be the foul/speiclaty minutes guy

also because amare is a guy who has mile son him--I think a 9/10 man rotation even if 9-10 get 5 minutes would be wise

@Panos Playing a big would prob be wise. But at the cost of the "talented" guards? would you be ok with Azu or TD getting 5 - 10 mins a game?

@BRIGGS im not so sure we need more than turiaf man, he can do the job. doesn't ask much of his big from the bench (steven hunter, an old KT,...)

I don't think Azu gets only 5 mins a game. He'll play a lot more than that and Chandler will get time at the 3.

Walker Mason Mozgov
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Mike might be more conservative to start unless AR goes off in camp. I think it's gonna be Amar'e, Felton, Gallo, AZ n Turiaf. Then AR, Chandler, TD off the bench. Spot minutes for Mason, Walker or Timo as needed.

He will use a big man rotation of Stoudemire/Randolph/Turiaf

Wing rotation of Gallo/Chandler/and either Mason or Azubuike

Point Guard rotation of Felton or Douglas.

I think Mason and Azubuike battle so both could see time, but Walker is odd man out. Mozgov probably only plays sparingly this season.

I agree. We are so quick to put AR in every starting 5 because we are so excited but come on. He still needs work and MDA knows that. And from MDA's interviews, it seemed like the only way AR was starting was if he really showed out at training camp. Otherwise, this is the kind of lineup we can expect in the beginning of the season.

Anyone want to bet AR will put up similar numbers to shawn marion?

@nixluva I agree that there might be a "feeling out process" in the beginning (9 to 10 man rotation with the last guy still getting mins) if the guys dont get comfortable but once they do it will be 8.

@knixkik Mason vs Azu does seem like the biggest battle. Both are 6'5" guards that can shoot.
