It seems to happen all to often that the Knicks get used by free agents for negotiating purposes... i think that Chris Paul just used us to get rid of the competition on his own team... i think paul realized that collison had a chance to be just as good as he and wanted to make sure that HE{collison} was not on the team by trading camp so paul didnt have collison breathing down his back ....... Lets be honest Ariza is not that good and they prob could have got better offers.. and all of a sudden paul wants out on day but is ok with being there the next and a week later collison is gone ??? does not make sense to me.... sounds like something lebron and his people would do ...take the easy way out ... OH wait he is represented by lebrons people......who woulda thought?

Collison will never be half the player Chris Paul is. I don't think Chris Paul is worried about the competition. I think he wants out of New Orleans and NO was trying to use one of their only assets to improve the team. Unfortunately, I don't think that move helps their team much at all.

collison avgd 18 9 and 1 when he started in 37 starts thats a good chunk of the season chris paul averaged 18 11 and 2 if that is not half of the player that paul is i dont know what is being expected of him ..... i mean im not saying he is better .... but he is youngher and does not have a knee injury so paul really did need to worry about his backup .....

The only negative about Collison was that he had a 2-1 assist to TO ratio. That's not great at all.

Ariza fills a big hole for them, problem is that the Hornets have zero depth. If one of their starters goes down at any position then they're effed.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Yeah, I don't see it. I can't see some grand plan culminating in the acquisition of Trevor Ariza. Sorry, no dice.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

There's no way Chris Paul could have been thinking, "If I demand that they trade me, then they'll trade the other PG on the team and I'll have less competition."
