the knicks should try to find an athletic, strong, rebounding player in the nbdl. i'm sure there are a lot of players that are just waiting to work hard in the nba if given pt. sign one of them to a ten day and see what happens.
FRANK WILLIAMS should be an allstar. The BEST knick this season!

no dude, that was not the nbdl, that's the cba, nbdl players are just a step below nba players, so, i think that knicks could find a guy like the one you saw last night with the bulls(ranald dupree)

Mikki Moore is an NBDL guy whos tall (6'11, 225) and athletic. Not really a post up, but could defintiely bring athleticism to our frontcourt off the bench. He played for the Pistons the last couple of years and even started some games. Hes averaging like 20 and 9 in NDBL right now.

I don't know if he went back there... Before NJ signed 6'10 Eddie Griffin, They had signed Mikki to a contract.

Once Griffin was available and decided to sign with NJ, the Nets released Mikki. YOu need to research where did he end up doing after being released by NJ..

mikki isn't even close to being what the knicks are looking for, they need a tough, athletic, energetic, swingman, not a 7foot pole. a deffensive liability, an offensive liability. the knicks need to look harder and find the talent in those creative ways that isiah was talking about. guys like armstron, ben wallace, chucky atkins, were not even drafted. thomas needs to find those guys

Mikki Moore is soft!! Another camby without the injuries. We do need a bonifide post-up player big man and Mikki is not the answer. ..

You do relaize that with the lack of impact big men in the NBA there is harldy going to be any in the NBDL right? NBDL might as well be called the Shooting Guard Development League.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

true, all undersized SGs, SJU PGs and failed 1st and 2nd rounders that couldnt get over to europe if they were shipped by freight plane. And awful tall guys who are out of shape.

simrud,,,very good point I agree with that, big men are hard to find. After trading Frank Will I would pick up Omar Cook. he is leading the D league in assists, and has great court vision. Needs to work on his shooting, but if he were perfect he wouldnt be in the nbdl in the first place. Bring him here to learn from another NYC PG, let him learn the NBA game as a 3rd string PG for the NYKs.

no dude, the nbdl too has somebody playing the c, pf, sf, sg, g. positions. same as the nba a does. shows how much you know about the game of basketball and organized b-ball.
i'm sure your pal, thamas, could find somebody.
btw. i heard he is gay or something, thought you would know something about that since you are very close to him a love whatever he does

Check the rosters of the NBDL. I did a few weeks ago. You'll find a lot of 6'9 centers, a lot of 6'6 power forwards, a lot of 6'4 small forwards and shooting guards that are 6'3. A lot of the reason these guys are in the NBDL is because they were undersized, didn't have the NBA body, or didn't have the NBA talent. Every once in a while you'll find the semi-talented, hard working wing player than might help you, or the NBA retread, but its hard to find genuine players with genuine athletic talent there. Those guys are on NBA rosters.
