Teams looking to dump $7 million in salary to avoid the luxury tax are finding a suitor in Utah. The Jazz, who are $7 million under the cap, at $37 million, are actively looking to take on a $7 million player for picks and cash. "They either want a one-year guy or they'll take on someone with a longer deal - if they feel he's special and can help their team go forward," said one Western Conference executive who has talked to the Jazz. Incidentally, Utah has only $12 million in salaries committed for next season....

We'd get a $7 mil trade exception, and Anderson's contract is 7 mil.

Then we could use that $7 Mil to pry a player away from a cost conscious team... say, Cavs or so...

Good point, Case. Shandon does fit the bill for a deal like that.
I wonder if Zeke has considered that kind of move...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

HEY, they lost their starting SF for the yr(MAtt HArpring).

Shandon could take over @ SF, he played there before so it shouldn't be a problem..

"They either want a one-year guy or they'll take on someone with a longer deal - if they feel he's special and can help their team go forward,"

So what you are saying is that Anderson is the guy that "special and can help their team go forward", you are kiddin right? Raja Bell got more upside then Anderson, so does Pavlovic, etc. They have plenty of wing guys to step in for much less money.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
