Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived guard Delonte West, who had just been acquired from Cleveland in a trade last week.

West played the past 2 1/2 seasons with Cleveland and last year averaged 8.8 points with 3.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 60 games, including three starts.

The 27-year-old West has also played for Boston and Seattle in his six-year career and has averaged 10.0 points with 3.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 364 games.

Any interest?

I'd take Delonte West over Rudy Fernandez and Shannon Brown.

Hell, I woudn't be worried about our NYC kids- they would know enough to just take out their guns and shoot back at him- but what about our players' wives and, more importantly, their moms??!!

I think West's issues are pretty serious. I don't think he is worth signing. If as a team you stay away from Lance Stephenson and Brandon Jennings, how do you sign Delonte West?

Too much trouble and he'll be looking for all of our leftover money...Not interested.

If we really want a 3rd PG for depth, I'd offer Patty Mills a contract in the $1.5-2M range...I believe he's a RFA with an option to come back for just over $900,000. The Blazers may not choose to match an offer for more than that--they acquired Wes Matthews Jr. in FA & just signed 2nd round pick Armon Johnson..Their backcourt is stacked at both positions. So far Mills hasn't gotten any offers which surprises me given his age & talent level along with prior success abroad, in college, at the DL level last year and this summer in Vegas.

If we can't get Mills, I'd take a flier on Sherron Collins for even less money. Dude had one game in SL where he went for over 30 points. He can play.

I could honestly see either guy pushing TD for that backup PG spot behind Felton, esp. Mills.

don't want him spreading his herpes or killing chemistry here.

seriously, the guy is a total wack job(and not because of the james rumors).

wasn't this the dude riding his bike down the highway with a shotgun on his back, two handguns in holsters and another taped to the small of his back. He is the last thing NY needs

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

The "talented headcase plan" just doesn't work unless you have a coach that can reign them in (i/e Riley, JVG). just isn't that coach.
