Guys we just turned the page.
I'm so glad to have the age of bad attitudes or albatross contracts firmly in our rear view mirror!
Good riddance to the collective cast of:
Larry Hughes
Darko
Jeffries
Marbury
Jerome James
Zach
Malik Rose
Tim Thomas
Q Rich
Jalen Rose
A Hardaway
Steve Francis
Mo Taylor
Houston
Vin Baker
Shandon Anderson
Antonio McDyess
Weatherspoon
Eisley
Travis Knight
Luc Longley
Glen Rice

Can't wait to add Eddy Curry to that list!

Going forward, as of right now, aside from Curry we have a roster of players if not championship level, at least there is good talent, good athletism and getting paid reasonable rates allowing the team to be free of the paralysis that they had been stuck in due to immoveable contracts for the last 10+ years!
I hope that Amare's knee holds up, and A.R.'s attitude improves, and we're looking good going forward!
And then there was light!

Allan Houston doesn't deserve to be on that list he was a great Knick it wasn't his fault he got hurt and he tried harder than anyone to make it back from injury.
No layups!

I think they were just refering to bad contracts, and no mater how you love allan, he wasn't worth no 100+ mill 10 years ago..

It was an albatross contract, nonetheless. Even before he got hurt, but ESPECIALLY after.

Some people wanted to keep Darko, myself NOT included.

hey, don't go dissing Travis Knight. Kicks haven't been crap since we lost him and Chris Dudley.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

They were both 3rd string level centers getting paid too much.

While I'm not fond of any player (except Allan Houston and Antonio McDyess) on that list, I keep my dislike focused on 4 or 5 figures who I think caused the most damage:

Eddy Curry - his contract really hurt the cap when Donnie was trying to make space, leading to the Jeffries, Hill and Picks trade. So in total he's cost us 2 good picks that Chicago got from us, lottery pick Jordan Hill, plus our 2012 pick to Houston, plus a potential swap next year- that's potentially 5 lottery picks for someone who's been too fat to play for years and hugely clogged up the cap! Thats ridiculous.

Stephen Marbury- reduced this team to a joke, became insane, embarrassed the franchise, cost us a good lottery pick this year, and even after he was cut he came back to try and embarrass us further by visiting Knick games. Can't believe I used to support him.

Larry Brown and IT- together they brought out the worst in each other, resulting in Steve Francis- how on earth did anyone think that was even remotely workable??? Mind you, the photo's from that introductory press confrence with Steve Francis looking distinctly unimpressed were hilarious...

the days when we had mo taylor and moochie norris on the same team, were some of the darkest days for me as a knicks fan.... LOL

And through it all, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Hopefully.

It's good that there's light at the tunnel. Usually the Knicks just have more tunnel at the end of the tunnel.

Then again, if you hit the end, and there's just more tunnel, is it really the end? Let me ponder that for a few hours.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Where's aging Keith Van Horn? Al Harrington the black hole? the unathletic Othella Harrington?

I'm just happy not to see Lavor Postell on this list. That guy was a surefire sleeper/beast (then again, he probably made less $$$ than a lot of us)

Good riddance to these knuckleheads (or their contracts)
