That is "Pulls" by the way, not pull.

It's good to be the King...

An ESPN reporter did a big article on James and a Vegas party that evidently made James seem less kingly than his official sports channel of choice.

Here is the full story on Deadspin:
http://deadspin.com/5598719/read-espns-spiked-story-about-lebron-among-the-naked-ladies-in-vegas

Here is another analysis of the story, and ESPN's comment about why it was pulled.

http://www.sbnation.com/2010/7/28/1592251/lebron-james-life-is-a-hip-hop

I suppose that this is all about Carter and his James' handlers, but James is a fool tool. How does he actually live with himself?

My favorite part:

Carter, LeBron's childhood friend and manager, begins dancing around James like Puff Daddy in a Notorious B.I.G video. A giant red crown-shaped cake is brought over to James while go-go dancers dressed in skimpy red and black outfits raise four lettered placards that spell out, "KING." Carter grabs a bottle of Grey Goose and pours a quarter of it on the floor and raises it up before passing it off.

James' infamous one-hour special, "The Decision," was reportedly the brainchild of Carter, a 28-year-old who has never managed anyone outside of his friend James. This three-day party marathon in Vegas (which James is being paid six figures to host) is also Carter's idea.

The reason it was pulled:

UPDATE: Via Darren Rovell: ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz tells us why the LeBron Vegas story was pulled: "The story should have never been published. The draft was inadvertently put on the server before going through the usual editorial process. We are in the midst of looking into the matter."
(We might have a Knicks or Cavs fan in the ESPN office that sent this through for some revenge, or it went out normally and somebody higher up saw it and got worried about LeBron's rep taking another hit.)

So much for whatever integrity James had left after the Decision, and so much for his old buddies who keep watch over him.

The rock has been raised and we are finally seeing all the little creepy creatures that live under it in a new light.

This stuff is starting to sound like some weird hip-hop basketball version of Caligula. A flying waiter? You weren't happy with the ninja waiters at Ninja New York homie?

Good one. I'm a history teacher and have sat through that movie once or twice- jealous that I did not see the analogy.

Lebron needs to switch over to Arn Tellem's agency & get that G5.

First thing that crossed my mind. The guy hasn't won **** yet and still "the king" keeps throwing himself victory parties. And whats the deal with the fake dribbling through the casino? Talk about starved for attention. They might as well have poured a 40 for his rep. The more I read about him the less I like.

Lebron is a creation of the ass kissers that have surrounded him his entire career... if this kid had been brought up in the right atmosphere & had the right mentors, i don't think he'd be this overbearing or obnoxiously narcissistic... i really hope John Wall doesn't fall victim to the same kinda self adoration that has clearly infected Lebron's psyche.

Meanwhile, today Kevin Durant had some Wheaties, went to the gym for 7 hours, and is headed to dinner at the Olive Garden.

I agree TMS. He seemed mature beyond his years when he first started in the league, now not so much.

Happens many times with many star athletes and celebrities- the power and fame goes to their head, and the folks who hang around them enable them and feed their egos even more.

He obviously doesn't have a father figure, his mom is sleeping with his teammates, and the guys hanging around with him have been exposed for the fools they are.

He could have earned some respect with a more humble approach after the egomaniac "Decision," but I suppose that he and his people feel they have to keep up the pretense of being the "King" and his court.

I would have had a lot of trouble dealing with this, in terms of trying to like the guy, if he was on the Knicks.

watching PTI right now, mike kryzweski is on talking about Team USA and he was beyond overly-enthusiastic about just how great of a person and competitor that kevin durant is. the difference between him and lebron is just night and day. thank god there is someone like kevin durant in this league right now.

We have actually had someone like him for many years- Tim Duncan- the forgotten champion. Maybe Durant will carry on the tradition of the modest superstar who can remain the same down to earth person despite the negative influences of fame and fortune.

True Paladin, that's why I wasn't upset when he took his paper crown to south beach. I don't
mind athletes bragging now and then but JHC, win something first.

I laughed at the part where Lamar Odom raised his drink to the couple on the dance floor who pointed to their ring fingers while the Queen was dancing.

couldn't have said it better myself... I know some will find what "big baby" did as an act of "hating".. but honestly, what is there to hate. Big baby has a ring, makes good loot and is exceeding expectations at the NBA level.... I see it as another player who could care less about kissing lebrons ass and seeing this guy as a first class fool...

I hate that, I really thought lebron was more grounded than this... His little crew has gotten way too much credit for what lebron has. From what I read, his previous agent was the one who set up all the deals, sprite, nike, etc... and then lebron drops him.... Lebron is very important to the NBA.. One thing he will realize is that the NBA and pro sports in general is well known for eating it's own..

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

I dislike TC as an actor and for some other things, but every now and then he does some very good stuff as an actor, and this character was one of the good ones.
