I want "HAKIM WARRIK" from Syracuse on our roster, he is just what the garden needs a rim rocker who plays over the rim .
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

not even close my freind! i loved hakim last year and i still do because of the rim-rockers and blocking ability but i have concerns about him. i wanted him to be drafted by the knicks as well, even last year i would have done it, but now, as i watch him more and more, i have doubts creeping. he's about 6 10' but he's very raw in terms of his physical goes. he looks weak to me to play the power forward, these power forwards in the nba will make him look like a puppet with his frame, just look at the laker's brian cook. these guys in the nba are not going let a weak(might be over exadurated) guy like hakim dunk over them, a guy like kurt thomas, jerome williams will beat him up figuratively. (he must get stonger) he doesn't look quick enough or has the ball-handling ability of kieth plus the shot. all he becomes is a guy that stands in paint looking for a rebound to dunk and with his weak frame, i doubt that he can even accoplish that against guys like thomas.

just some thoughts but i still love syracuse basketball and the way he plays

With only a second round pick your only gonna get a guy that needs improvement. I rather draft a player that needs to get stronger and is an athlete in the sec round than a player that is a finished product but is a limited athlete.

hey, some people are not talking about him being a 2nd rounder, i think he will be a late first rounder. but he isn't even close to being a marcus camby because camby is much quicker and even stronger. but i have a hunch that he will be injury prone. he needs to get stronger and he must do that inorder to be a decent nba player
otherwise i can point out a lot of decent dunkers in the nba who are also role players (not even close to being an important part of the offense), guys like chris anderson, miles, jerome williams, and so forth. you can get dunkers but talent and the way a guy plays with in the team concept is very hard to get, something i don't think warrick really has. besides, we have a lot of work to do with our #9 pick already, to take on another project and polish him up is not much of a option for an organization like the knicks. i think you should already know what type of an organization the knicks are.

They have warrick listed as a lottery pick, i think he needs to say another year, then we will have a first rounder that year in 2005 and can take a shot at him.. BTW don't we have 2 second rounders this year, including Houstons...
