I see where briggs is going. Melo is a great player no doubt but your looking at a kid who might be as good as his big brother and brings a tandom of bigs that could be huge.
Its more than what he does alone but what he brings to a team. He could do so much for Amare it could be sick. If you got Gallo who could do even 2/3rds of what melo could your creating a chemistry and balance where the true superstar on the team is not just one player but the unit itself.
Now, Im not saying its gasol is the missing like because we got so many questions but I see where briggy is going.
Remember guys, the 1970's knicks are so legend even thought it was just a two championship run is because they are perhaps one of the greatest unselfish teams that did not promote superstardom. Even when Earl joined he had to leave part of his game on the shelf to fit in.
And if it takes the abilty to trade up you need players in a system growing and adding value and no better way to do that is to play on a good team.
A team is not a collection of players but chemistry of playing together. Get the right players with the skill sets and work it to blend. Egos, money and contracts make this very tough.
