Cleveland trades Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair to Minnesota for Ramon Sessions, Ryan Hollins and a draft pick, a source told Y! Sports.

so david kahn wanted to get rid of a pg so he trades sessions and adds telfair? this makes sense how? david kahn might be the most lost gm in the past 10 years...

West plays the point some also. Aside from the pick I am not sure what he is trying to do.

Also West and Beasley looks alike, might confuse teams on game planning?

Kahn or Isiah, that's a close one. I still have to go with Isiah. His roster moves resulted in salary cap hell.

Kahn is just lost from a talent perspective.

Getting nothing for Sessions when it was looked upon as a good deal for Minny last Summer is pretty stunning.

The fact that they took back another PG should instantly get Kahn fired.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

This was a salary dump. Sessions has 3yrs left, West has an expiring contract.

Its actually not a bad move from Minny's perspective. West ability to play 2guard makes him more valuable to them then Sessions as well as the fact that his contract is ending.

Though they should have never signed Sessions in the first place.

Wtf is Kahn doing?

He just traded Al Jefferson away for nothing as well. That Koufos kid (sorry I massacred his name) is probably better than Darko.

Johnny Flynn is fresh off of hip surgery too. looks like its ridinour and telflairs team now....

He is a freaking pretard.

I have never been more puzzled by a GM. You would think there is some sort of master plan that we aren't smart enough to figure out, but signing a player one season then trading him in a salary dump just proves he admitted he was making a mistake. Therefore, this cannot be viewed as a good deal. Kahn is just playing NBA 2k10 Association mode with this team. Sign whoever you can get at any position just because you can, then simulate thru the season and swap the players out to try again. This off-season we are seeing so many bad teams locking up role players long term that it just makes me think how lucky we are to have Walsh. He is only getting stars, or if not, then at least getting ultimate value with the contracts he is committing to. No one will ever complain about the contracts of Azubuike, Randolph, Felton, and Turiaf who are all fantastic value. People can say what they want about Amare but he's the best offensive big man in the league and a second team all-nba player. In other words, he's pretty good. We are only committed long term to a star and young prospects with star potential and that is great. Sure beats what teams like Minny, Toronto, and New Jersey are doing, locking up role players for long-term deals.

Sessions cost them nothing. The fact he could dump a player after a year, or undo a mistake, or go in another direction is a good thing. That's better than players to sit. Kahn is doing better than Isiah did.

I don't get his moves yet either, but he is not making fatal ones.

At least he gives us interest.

Minny is waiving Delonte West at $4.66 million expiring contract. Anyone understand why they are waiving him? Is Cleveland going to re-sign him?

It would be incredibly ironic if he ends up in Miami. It would be a media field day.

Its not so much that he's bringing in PG's. He's bringing in pick and roll point guards while the team is running the triangle.

The triangle doesn't even require a dominant point. You sure as heck need a dominant scoring guard though. it makes zero sense that he's bringing in all these guys. Flynn and Sessions look terrible in that system and you hurt their trade value immediately in that system. To go out and sign another pick and roll guy is just crazy stuff. There is no way that the Knicks, running SSOL, and the Wolves, running the triangle, should ever be eyeing the same PG's to sign.

Minny needs a BJ Armstrong type who can play defense and stretch the defense.

They signed him less then 12 months ago to that same contract, salary dump my ***, this guy doesn't have a clue, he preends to be a GM. kahn is as goofy as he gets.

When you're giving up 2nd round picks to get rid of a healthy player who you just signed...

you might be a bad GM.
