Amare---33 Id like to see the Dunacan treatment here-We have him for 5 years and to run him into the ground would be foolish

Gallinari 38---to be a star you need to play star minutes

Chandler 33 I would give him more but he is injury prone

Randolph 35 Play so hard that he is open to injury if you look at his production per minute he should put up greta numbers with 35 minutes

Felton--very durable but at a faster pace we cant afford him to break down 38

Azubike if he is healthy 25

Douglas 10 atleast

one C 10 minutes{my hope is Curry but we cant count on it--IF curry is healthy we may have to rethink minutes distributed because I would have him in there for 24 if he was back to 2007 form) I think we are raw here but to get a banger like turiaff or the russian in there is going to be essenetial and these minutes can expand with good play

The other 18 is up for grabs to the man who can take them. That might be more minutes for Douglas maybe Fields Walker--wheoever can earn them

That gives me 8-9

Everything I have seen has Turiaf starting so I think you have to expect him to get 20 minutes a game. I think Randolph will get about 25 minutes a game and Gallinari around 33. I don't expect any of the traditional centers to get more than token minutes. I agree with your minute allotment for Amare, Felton, Chandler and Azubuke. If D'Antoni sticks to an 8 man rotation Douglas gets the majority of the remaining minutes. I am not sure where Walker fits in with this roster.

Unless he is injured--I cant see how Randolph wont avg 35 minutes. I know Turiaff brings some things we haevnt had from the 5--he's a solid shot blocker and passer+ finishes well. But if you are looking to score 112 points every night--you need your horses who can do it out there. Well have to see.

If we can average 112 I think we can win 52-55 games. Just think about the differential.

I think Walker is grossly underrated here. He is the closest we have to prototypical 2G. If he can start where he left off last season I would seriously think of playing him ahead of Chandler.

Regular Rotation:

Felton
Amare
Gallo
Chandler
Turiaf
Randolph
Azubuike
Douglas
Mosguv

I think Turiaf will get more minutes (15-20 MPG), based on his health and Randolph's integration into the rotation. He will start the first 5-6 minutes of each half and get time as needed after these minutes. Turiaf and the Russian may be interchangeable at some point in the season (so we get 10 solid fouls until one fouls out), so in this scenario we have a 9 player rotation.

Add 2 MPG to Amare and Azubuike might have more MPG by the end of the season. Douglas will also get more minutes. I would chop 3 off Gallo, 3 off Chandler, and 5 off Randolph, whose numbers will hopefully increase as the season moves along, but will be more in the 25-30 MPG range.

If Azubuike is shooting well and is at 100%, Walker won't get many minutes, if any, and I personally see Fields moving ahead of Walker as the team's situational 2/3- especially if his shot comes around. I don't see these guys necessarily battling for a spot on the team, but they will compete for the rotational scraps.

If Azubuike is healthy, and Mosguv is not a total stiff, Rautins and Jordan should be playing DL minutes for us.

I don't count on Curry for any minutes.

Why cant we get up to 112? That sun 2004-2005 was completely revamped and very young. Think about the numbers these guys can start throwing up Gallo Chandler Amare randolph Azubukie felton Douglas could all be double digit scorers.

Curry will not get back into 2007 form, and he will not play anywhere near 25 minutues a game.

His career is over.

hey man, i am with you. 112 may be a little much. Bukie and Turiaf gotta show us they are back from the injury bugs and Gallo, Chandler, Randolph gotta show us progress. Doable but a lot of IFs.

Without doing any real math I'll say...

5 players 48 minutes per = 240

Using a 9-man rotation....(yes I think Mozgov could start).

Felton 34
Chandler 30
Gallo 32
Amare 32
Mozgov 22

Douglas 20
Buike 20
Randolph 30
Turiaf 20

I tend to dissagree on Walker -- I think Chandler is 2X the overall player --- only thing Bill has on Wilson is range on his shot.

Bill is in no way shape or form a prototypical 2-guard. Prototypical 2Gs - can handle, pass, shoot off the dribble and defend.

Bill either launches a 3-point shot or goes all the way to the hoop and doesn't defend (to be honest).

Not knocking Bill just reacting to use of prototypical term ---

Donnie has already said that he believes we don't have a prototypical SG on the roster --- I still think he goes out and gets one -- Rudy?
