This is a value ploy ......

He was said to be happy so that being said is he was probably promised
a major upgrade in the roster real soon or more realistically he was promised
a trade.

IMO meeting going something like this....

Hornets: We will do whatever you want just keep media at bay or we get no Value for you

Paul: Ok ...... Just send me to KNICKS before year starts!!

Hornets: Ok!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

Well there didn't seem to be and workable deal out there anyway. This is going to have to play out over time. It's hard to make such a much at this point in the summer. CP3 had to do this to put some pressure on the franchise to do something to improve the team. It's not the 1st time a teams star has done this. Remember Kobe and all his bluster before they made the moves to get better? It's up to NO now to see what they can do to improve the team.

New Orleans would be foolish to not accept trade offers for Paul. Its either they accept something, or just flat out lose him to free agency in 2 years, because they're not in a position to contend until he's a FA.

Exactly......But remember Kobe kept bitching till they got Gasol

Paul smiling already has me thinking they promised to deal him if
he keeps it on low!

Its all about the distraction thing!!

Not to mention he lessens his trade value if he keeps demands puplic

NO has a lot going on and Paul is being smart!!

I say he gets traded regardless what he is saying!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

What he really said "The meeting went well. 'Bout freakin time I got with Monty, Webs, and Demmy! I said what Lebron told me to say and keep it real low key cuz media want some fresh meat. I Expresed my desire to win and they told me the direction they want to take the team. I told them the MOFO direction I want is Straight the phuck out! I have been in this Voodoo Swamp gumbo eating cess pool my entire career and I hope to represent the City of NO and the State of Lousiana for man years to come, but take that representing to another city!"

Really, what a strange statement to say. How Sincere was that really? Sucking up to the city and state like that?

Sounds like they threatend him with a trade to Cleveland unless he fell in line and did what they said.

He pulls that "tendenitous" crap they going to play hardball with his ass. Could have bought in some Cajun swamp trash or Voodo Shaman and scared the crap out of him!

Rejoice. We can see what we have here. NO can get something for Collison and that might help a bit.
I really want to see how the lineup we have will play. Having Amare is going to create so many more opportunities for Gallo, Randolph, Felton, our shooters, etc.
Now, if we do decide to trade Randolph or Gallo down the line (if they play well), we can get fair value.

I think If he really wants out he will get out.. But we gotta remember that NO doesnt have to trase him to a preferred team.. So all the rumors about him wanting to come to the knicks dont mean to much.. http://www.msg.com/blogs/charlie-zegers/big-day-for-the-knicks-1.47142
I don't think there will be a problem unless somebody wants to make a problem, ... If they really want to make a problem, they're going to have to make a decision about how they want to spend their adult life in terms of playing in the NBA or not.

+1

The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

This is great news for us because we can sit back and see what we have before trading the farm. I was for getting Paul only for the simple fact that he's the best PG in the league and a great fit, and i didn't want to see us pass up and another team get him. Now it looks like no one will get him for the time being. We can see what we have and hope a couple guys develop before we make another dramatic change. Also, if NOH have a poor start, i'm pretty sure Paul will revisit the trade requests. Overall, this is good becuase it gives us a chance to see what we are going into the season with and then make adjustments from there. If i could trade Felton and Randolph in a deal for Paul today i would because he's that good, but i still want to see how good Felton is in this offense, and if Randolph shows signs to becoming a star.

I think the Hornets front office told CP3 something big is going to go down during the CBA that is going to put all the teams on equal footing.
