Who should be captain(s) of this team?

I go with going back to the tri-captain way. My picks are Amar'e, Gallo, Felton.

Felton- He has the heart and soul type of game that everyone just needs to respect.

Amar'e- He showed a lot of intestinal fortitude in coming back the way he did. He really reminds me of Larry Johnson 2.0 attitude wise. He is also currently our best player (leading me to Gallo).

Gallo- Kid really is the future. He really has the swag and is clutch.

If there is to be a captain-the only choice is Amare. he commands respect, is almost certain to be here beyond this year, speaks English as his first language. Felton can be added once he proves himself to be a fixture here. Gallo is still too young. Can always add a co captain or tri captains down the road.

Just Amare, sometimes teams go overboard when naming too many players captain.
Let the rest of them distinguish themselves in the playoffs.

Wilson Chandler this would make him more vocal and give him confidence. Longest tenured player for the Knicks. I don't count Curry as being a Knick.

Some combination of Amare and Felton seems to make sense. Gallo is simply too young at this point, although who knows. Amare would be more of an overall leader- I have to think that Felton, as the PG on an MDA team, will be the floor leader when he picks up the system.

Some guys may occasionally have to send a message to the other players on the team. You want to see some hard fouls by Amare when necessary, but maybe more so from Turiaf, who is not a major scorer, and will not need to be on court as much as Amare.

Also expect Turiaf to emerge as a team spirit type leader at some point, although I could do without the dancing.


We could also use a "community co-captain" (CCC) because we may end up with 3.5 members of the "community" on the team, and they need some kind of captain figure, too, for their self-esteem.

Amar'e will be one because he is a vet superstar and plays with intensity. The other players will look up to him. I think Felton will have to establish himself as the floor general, and then be named co-captain.

Gallo's too young to be a captain. I agree with Amare and would agree with Felton, but Felton may be traded in December.
