My knee-jerk reaction has always been the 94 team, Because that team legitimately had a shot to beat Houston and win it all. Probobly should have.

The 99 team had no real shot to beat San Antonio without Ewing, but looking back I have to admit it.. I loved this team more than the 94 bad boys.

Spree, Houston, CAMBY especially.. Even Childs.. Man i loved this squad, that run in the playoffs will NEVER be matched as a Knick fan. Van Gundy > Riley. Remember his wife crying? That says it all.

I swear if Ewing was 100% healthy that year, we take the Chip. San Antonio was good, but I'd bet anything with the momentum we had build to that point, if the Big Fella was around - we take it and it would have been one of the GREATEST sports stories in history.

'94 Knicks only because Anthony Mason is my favorite player among both of those teams!
Rose is not the answer.

Neither resulted in a championship, so it don't really matter to me. They were both good I guess.

I'm not a fan of this "it's a championship or it's meaningless business" mentality- those teams and what they achieved mattered, and they're a big reason why we fans have endured the past ten years. Competing, fighting to win, fighting against the odds, showing heart, thats what I want to see when I watch basketball.

I hear you. But for me, it just comes down to winning. If you don't achieve it, you can still enjoy the journey. But you play to win it all.

I came to America in the early summer of 94. Watched the Stanley Cup win. Started watching bball and the Knicks in like 96 or 97. Right when we gave Houston that contract.

1999 because I can actually remember that better than 1994.

Neither-the 69-70 knicks hands down followed by the 1873 team.

Yeah...that 1873 team was a good one. I hear that playing basketball on the grass courts they used was a bytch, though.

94 - 99 was cool but I never felt they had a shot plus Ewing was out. As much as I love Spree, H20, and Camby - Mason, Starks, Ewing, Oak, LJ all mean more to me. The 99 crew represents the decline of the 90's while 94 is the height. It's also Riley or Van Gundy and to be honest I always preferred Pat. I have grown to respect Van Gundy but I didn't like him for a long time and in my opinion the way he left wa worse than Pat.

They were well mowed-and I defy anyone here to prove they weren't the best ever

94' as it was legit.

99 Team in short strike affected season was a nice fluke. We were the 8th seed and upset Miami on H20's prayer.

Beating Miami was always great.

It was a fun ride but we were so overmatched by the awsome spurs it was never in question and the games not close.
Maybe its how Spree left that taints his stay here. His true character did show up after time and while he was great on the court he bought too much drama off it.

Sprees personal life never was an issue so much as always not being in camp and the broken wrist. These things carried into the season and while it may be disrecpectful to the owner and coaches, its ultimatly disrescpetful to the players.

I'll take the starphuch Riley glamor and the legit shot the 94' team.

My first was the 73' knicks. Now we talking!

In my mind if Ewing is in the Knicks win in '99 hands down.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The question is whether they were better than the 1870 team.

Anyway, I'll have to say '99, although '94 is close. I don't feel like '99 was a fluke though. I think the 8th seed was a fluke and had the Knicks played a full season would've been the 3rd or 4th seed. In '99, with Ewing, the Knicks may have won a championship.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

99 was awesome. the houston shot and lj play were among the greatest ever. i wouldn’t be so sure about beating SA though even with ewing. but without him you felt there was no chance whatsoever.

94 was a damn mission. it was all so locked in and focused. let's get this s**t done. except we didn’t.

Not that young. Late 20s.

If I have to pick, I'll go with the 94 team.
