I think this is the correct way to think about this. We trade for paul, if we can, and we give away everyone in this effort. Yes that is Gallo, chandler, td, randolph and filler. If we can get paul we can get melo considering we will have both paul and stat. We have a big three and we have some role players to file in.

If we take on Okafor, we under no circumstances trade Gallo, cause he is our outside shooting budding star. We still have cp3, stat, okafor, and gallo, who will bloom this year. We trade randolph cause god knows where that dude plays and cps, gallo, okafor, stat are a very good playoff team.

Unfortunately paul is pushing this before melo, and paul's contract goes a year longer.

if Isiah were running this franchise still, we might have to worry.

But Walsh is in charge now and I think he will abide by those guidelines you just preposed.

Unfortunately, I don't see us being able to land CP3 if we follow that blueprint.. But you never know

To all the desperate Knick fans...pull your skirt down.

Just wait until Parker, and Melo signs next year. Lets see what Felton can do in MDA's system.

Lets see what AR and Stat can do with Felton running the offense.

I rather have Parker, Melo, Amari anyway....If we get to keep our same supporting cast.

If Paul wants to come here, he'll be here, without us mortgaging the future.

Amari and Paul WOULD be very solid (IF HEALTH). But also a very risky duo with their injury history! On top of that, you will feel like shet if Melo re-ups his contract, after we just gut the entire team for a potential miami clone.

On top of that, can't afford melo, if we add Okafor! So whats the point!

It seems like some fans are not putting sound reasoning behind the thought process. Like somehow NO will simply hand over CP3 for a very thin package---I mean not happening. There are so many reasons why I would not do a deal for him UNLESS I was stealing him. Who the H wants to spend money when they don't have too????????? We just signed R Felton--we have a bunch of horses--stallions--let them run--what exactly is Chris Paul going to do for this team if it is watered down? We need a thread that says do not mention Chris Paul on UK again!!

Paul would be nice on the team but not at the expense of Gallo and Melo by destroying cap space for next year. In addition, half the team cant be trasded before December 15 so stop mentally masturbating which seems to be an all too common practice. Walsh has done what he intended to do here-put the payroll at a level where moves can be made, brought in young players with upside and gotton rid of "me first" players.

CP3 is damaged goods. If he wants to be a Knick that is to bad there is no room for damaged goods. We have Felton and that is enough. I wouldn't take a chance on Paul sorry guys we have been burned before with knee issues, McDyess remember him the Knicks do not have the luck and should not even look in Paul's way if they are smart. As much as his past is extraordinary I would have to see how he has come back from his knee issues before a decision can be made to obtain him. To ship out packages that are excessive for a player that might not produce ever for the Knicks would be a ridiculous thing to do. As of right now the Knicks need to go into battle with Felton.
