A hauntingly beautiful blues song by Bettye LaVette. I didn't know about her until she sang at Obama's inauguration with Jon Bon Jovi "Change is Gonna Come"; and then with Paul McCartney at the David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert at Radio City Music Hall last year. This is an older hit of hers.

This is from the Van Morrison Live at Montreux DVD (1980) if you are a fan of his I highly recommend it. Its the only live DVD he has ever released.

Feeling Rocked out this morning. One of my favorites - Cry Me a River cover by Joe Cocker with Mad Dogs and Englishman and accompanied by Leon Russell. This used to be a beautiful slow ballad.....until Joe Cocker. This will wake you up.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I don't see what you guys like in rap and HipHop, but beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Whatever turns you on.

Being a little down from our loss last night to the Trailblazers when I thought we had the game won, I guess we can't always get what we want.....we get what we need.

I hope this old rock doesn't bore you guys.

Another by Mr Bill

Dig on drummer man he looks really juiced

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

Ah, the good old tunes. Bill Withers had a bunch of hits, especially writing and singing Lean on Me. He captured the feeling. And Jim Croce was always fun.
