Most people know this album for "Margeritaville". But its great from start to finish. Like listening to this album when the news of the world gets to be too much. These days that's often!

Loved New Wave in high school, among other styles of music. This is a fun Album from some of the biggest New Wave stars at the time. There is an accompanying DVD documentary about this tour on Amazon called "If it aint stiff, it aint worth a ****" lol

FYI, LL took over Sirius/XM's old school hip-hop station last month. I was PO'd because they ran nothing but ads for weeks on a subscriber service. It was worth the wait. LL hired an archivist to find the best old school tracks. They've been playing things I havent heard in years.

The old station was backspin XL the new station is "Rock the Bells" worth checking out. Also talks about his interactions with other rappers. Said he would even play diss tracks directed at him.

Thanks for the tip. Great station. Took 10 minutes off of my 40 minute commute when I checked it out today.

Was listening in my truck this am. LL doing an intro to an old Clash tune " The Magnificent" . Didnt know he was a fan of their take on hip hop. Said he studied the vocals, instruments back in the day.

"Mama said Knock you out" had a punk vibe. The same manic energy.

This one takes me back..

Had to put it as a preset in my car as I kept almost going off the road tuning it in. Drive an 07 and I only have 6 presets.

Mikey Dread did a bunch of stuff with the clash. I was a big fan and went to see him at U Buffalo's spring fest in 89. We got lost on the way there and missed him. Love the clash. Lots of useless music knowledge from the 80s. Pretty sure Dread was heavily involved in Black Market Clash.

Interesting. The name sounds familiar, getting old, lol.

This is a good wide ranging interview with LL.. Also talks about the similarities between Punk and Hip-Hop.

"Rock the Bells" is one of my favorite stations. They really go deep in the vault.

The Dubliners are the best Irish band of all time in my opinion. Fallon and Post Malone just preformed part of , Seven Drunken Nights.
