Its old school because it has a Billy Joel reference from the 70s, and he's from NYC. Good enough for me.

Rest in peace Rod Temperton. Temperton wrote some of Michael Jackson's greatest hits from "Off the Wall" and "Thriller" including the title tracks (Off the Wall was my favorite.) Also wrote some of the biggest hits of the 70s and 80s for other R&B artists.
