I think Walsh should take a run at Buddinger. I heard Morey on Jim Rome's show today and he mentioned that Buddinger, Hill and Patterson would have a tough time getting minutes this year. I am not someone that speculates on trades but I wanted Buddinger last year and I think his athleticism and outside shooting could turn him into a star. Buddinger started off in the 09 mocks as a lottery pick and he played well last year. Playing for a coach that emphasizes running, athleticism and outside shooting could make him a star. He could be the 2 guard for the next 5-7 years.

I like him, but if we trade for him he'll never be given a chance to move past the "community pick" label which will be placed on him by some in this town. I just don't know if he would he be able to put up with such stereotyping.

Budinger surprised me by playing better than I expected as a rookie. He's going to stay where he is, but I'm interested to see how this kid develops.
