This is pretty random, but i have been curious for a while. How good do you guys think Blake Griffin will be this year, and his career? He had some hype going into last year until he had the season ending injury. Any chance he makes a huge splash?

If he would have come out in this most recent draft, where do you think he would have been drafted? Maybe right after Wall, or a little further down?

I think he is going to be a great player. If he is ready to play and healthy I think you are talking about a guy who minimally puts up 17 and 8 in his first year on the court. He was a monster in college.

I don't think there are character or motivation concerns with Blake. The only thing I have heard was speculation that the injury might be linked to using steroids but that is just speculation.

only thing that will prevent this kid from being a star is his ability to stay healthy... he's going to be better than Carlos Boozer IMHO... if he came out this year in the draft i think he'd have went #2 overall easily.

Griffin is a good guy, (was a) freakish athlete, and his dad was coach so he's polished. He's smallish. Unlike Beas, he plays like a PF. He doesn't play like a tweener. We'll see if the injury impacted his athleticism, because that's what was helping him play PF despite his lack of size

I think he'll be more than effective until his athleticism fails. Then, he was coached his entire life so he should be decent once it slips. In my opinion his ceiling is two or three All Star appearances

Ouch. From number 1 to number 2 overall.

John Wall's a special prospect.

well, i saw his training special with his eccentric ( to say the least) trainer and his work ethic is great, almost jerry rice like. he should do well, maybe an all-star but not a superstar.

Remember there was the talk of Wall coming out last year, via a loophole or the like? Anyone bet we wouldn't have taken him cause he can't shoot great? Last year, at that time, it was thought if he came out he probably would have fell to us...

i doubt that very much... i think he woulda went #1 if he came out last year, or at the very least #2... he's a much better prospect than Thabeet was considered to be last year before the draft at the very least... if anything i think if he came out last year, then Stephen Curry would have fallen to us at #8

While I'm not sure what the lingering effects of his injury will be this season, I think Griffin is going to be a great one. His intensity both offensively and on the glass set him a level above anyone drafted since Durant. He's one of those guys who you know what he's going to do, but you can't stop it.
