That is hilarious, MJ knows since Kobe was a kid in Italy he tried to walk like MJ Talk like MJ emulate MJ in everything he did.

KOBE IS AN assassin Lebron is a dominant player

But ask MJ This would Kobe on Clevelands team win a NBA CHAMIONSHIP 1ST

Or would Lebron win a Championship 1ST replacing Kobe on the Lakers NUFF SAID !

Of course Lebron + Lakers would win a championship before Kobe + Cavs ever would.

But would Kobe have ever held hands with his 2 all-star friends and picked his ass up to play second fiddle on a new team?

NEVER. And that's what makes Kobe the definitive better basketball player than LeFraud.

No OjilEye, My point I was making was Lebron's team wasn't worth playing for anymore, they couldn't get it done with Kobe or Lebron. This is what Lebron haters don't want to talk about.

Playing in Miami protects his family from media scrutiny with the GLORIA AND DELONTE WEST DILEMA, playing in NY would have kept the fires burning when the news paper reporters got bored.

It's close. I'd take LeBron because of his passing.

Not quite yet but in a year or two the comparisons will be made to Bird and Kirk

I think for those types of comparisons, you're expecting a major leap for Gallo this season.

Playa, this is where I agree with you. And I would take the assassin Kobe over the dominant player LeBron. The assassin enjoys winning/killing the opposition; the dominant player enjoys his own self-image of being dominant, but doesn't necessarily win.

This argument raged in the 1960's; who was better, Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt always had the better stats and could completely dominate a game. Bill Russell won 11 championships. Russell was the assassin; Chamberlain the dominant player. Givee me Bill Russell any day.

This is an irrelevant question. In three years, the comparisons between LeBron and Kobe will be dead, when LeBron's numbers slip to 24 ppg, or less, on the Heat.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The dominant player wants to win too, but always was made to be the savior of the team with little help. Well that worked in Highschool for Lebron, but in the NBA IT'S NOT HAPPENING. As for Wilt and Russell comparison again Russell had better players on the team than wilt just like Kobe had better players to play with than Lebron.

When Lebron finally became wise and saw he had to get better players to play with ... that's what he did.

Lebron want to win, Kobe wants to crush his enemies, see them driven before him, and hear
the lamentation of their women..

I might have to disagree with this one. Jordan is the best player to play the game. Which you would think he can evaluate talent. Clearly not the case. Henderson, Morrison, Kwame Brown he thought these guys were going to be good players. He is not a good dude and can't put a team together. So I take his opinion with a grain of salt. The comments about not calling up Magic and Larry I agree there.

Kobe struggles to get the Cavs to 50 wins and I mean struggles. He is the ultimate diva on the court. There is a tremendous difference when the game is on the line and a pass needs to be made. Mo Williams of Fish? Big Bucket inside Varejo or Gasol? Defensive stop Artest or Lebron? When you have to do everything it makes a big difference. Kobe never has had to do it alone. Lebron puts up stupid numbers without even trying.

Let's not forget when Kobe didn't have Gasol against the Suns and Phil called him out for being selfish and he lost the game to prove a point shooting only once in the second half. People forget just how spiteful the guy actually is.

MS guys aren't thinking on this one, even though many here are intelligent dudes.

I agree that Kobe is the better player, but MJ needs to keep his mouth shut. His teammates were freaking good as hell. Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, and when Ron Harper, Brian Grant, Luc Longley and Steve Kerr are your role players, that's pretty damn good.

He didn't win crap either before those guys came along.

I don't see how this is even valid. MJ had Pippen, he needed Pippen just as much as Kobe needs Gasol.

You could argue Kobe has a better supporting cast than MJ had but both of them had fairly stacked rosters.

Who cares what MJ thinks? He once said Vince Carter was going to be much better than Kobe. Greatest player of all time, not the greatest talent evaluator though, and id venture to say he is just reciprocating the unbelievable amount of respect Kobe Bryant has shown him through the years. LeBron has also been a major MJ guy, but who isn't? Kobe just takes it to another level though and imitates everything about him
