If the roster stays the same, what do you think the season ending rotation and stats will be.

C Turiaf (24 mins, 7 pts, 6 rebs, 1.5 blks)
PF Stoudemire (38 mins, 24 pts, 9 rebs, 1 blk)
SF Gallinari (36 mins, 17 pts, 5 rebs, 4 asts)
SG Azubuike (28 mins, 12 pts, 4 rebs)
PG Felton (36 mins, 15 pts, 9 asts, 1.5 stls)
6th Chandler (28 mins, 12 pts, 6 rebs)
7th Randolph (24 mins, 12 pts, 7 rebs, 1.5 blks)
8th Douglas (16 mins, 7 pts, 3 asts, 2 rebs)
9th Mozgov (10 mins, 3 pts, 3 rebs, .5 blk)
Fields and Walker fighting for spot mins during injuries.

44 wins-38 losses, 6th seed.

I think we see Amare play like the best PF in the league and felton become a borderline all-star overnight. Also, azubuike bring a great all around game and solidify himself as a very good shooting guard who can do a lot of different things. Also, because of our increased depth and overall better team, chandler and douglas' numbers dip a little, as do their minutes. They will still be very productive, and have good seasons however.

Expect The Unexpected

Knixkik - you must be a Knicks fan under 35 as you have totally overlooked the corporate mission statement. This classified information was passed along to me personally by a veteran MSG Usher during the 1999 Playoffs. This directive must be memorized and embraced and never forgotten.

This mantra shapes every performance of every player and all decisions on roster spots. It is who we are. It is in our blood.

This perfect sentence captures the essence of the Knicks franchise from 1947 to the present. So do yourself a favor, put down the statistical studies or division of minutes because it ain't that kinda party. All you need to enjoy what promises to be the most exciting season in decades...I'm psyched and ready to enjoy the bright moments, and shaky baby steps, as the New Knicks learn to run as a team.

Forget the projections because nothing is guaranteed, Kelenna Azubuike could show up wearing a walking cast and Wilson Chandler just might average 24 points a game.

All you need is to remember one simple phrase:

"dese guys don't do nuttin da easy way"

once a knick always a knick

You are right i'm a Knicks fan well below 35, but this is a hypothetical question, a "what do you think" question. Guessing is allowed in this case!

Knixkik,

Under Mike Dantoni's system, i can see those stats for each player for the season. As for the #6 seed, yep, knicks got a good chance at that spot. Let's see what actually happens:

Walker is going to play more, as Azubuike will probably start out slow as he recovers from injury and learns the system. Otherwise, I pretty much agree. I think Gallo and Felton will average more like 33 minutes per game.
