Apparently a Knicks security guard passed away (cancer) and Lee flew to NY from St. Louis to attend it even though he had to be in GS for his P.C. Then immediately caught a flight to GS for the P.C.

Lee was a good guy. One of the few ex-Knicks I wish well.

I'm telling you Lee was an under-rated player and a very cool dude. It's darn shame that we had to get rid of him. He shouldve been a NY for life. If we took Brook Lopez he would still be here!

Loved Lee's effort and work ethic, but I am not sad to see his defense go. I wish him the best of luck though.

as I said before cosmic, lee is a great guy, the business of basketball didn't allow him to be a knick anymore, but I wish him well, and every good thing that comes to him in the future most likely will be well deserved... just a good guy...

Will definitely miss David Lee, but at least we were able to turn him into AR. This story definitely shows that he is a classy guy. I will root for him throughout the rest of his career.

Great player, classy guy.

Shame we couldn't keep him. If he improves on defense, he'll be a perennial all-star.

LeBron would have made this into a 1 hour special on the YES network if he had chosen to go.

Actually read something about this last week, then heard it mentioned on the air yesterday.

One of those gestures which really puts things into perspective and tells you about the person.

Apparently, none of the Yankee players, not even Jeter, went to Bob Sheppard's funeral, which seemed very strange to me.

and someone in the yankee camp used a horrible accident on the parkway as an excuse why they werent there..thats bs..on larry david he used his mother's passing as an excuse not to go to places..that's funny in a situation comedy but not in real life..its like they heard of the accident and say great , we can use that as an excuse why we didnt show up..it makes me sick
