We all saw how good Gasol turned out playing next to Kobe he really did shine even more playing on a top team and with a top player. Guys like Lebron and Wade are going to make his life that much more easier. He is going to be a nightmare to defend. He is already a good athletic big man but his offensively game is as good as any PF in the game and he is a quailty rebounder the amount of easy points he is going to get is unreal. Going to be something to see how good he will be for Miami this season with most of the attention on Lebron and Wade.

I think Stoudemire will be more dangerous, especially next to Randolph.
Bosh is a great player, but he is soft just like James. The only person on that team with the killer mentality is Wade.

That's not to say I think the Knicks are the better team.... obviously that would be a ridiculous claim

It will be interesting to see how our teams match up. We are more balanced... They have the superstars.

If Miami play smart he would be the leading scorer on that team on most nights.

Teams will be trying to defend the other two so much that Bosh will clean up big time all three can't be doubled and stopped

Bosh will be more dangerous, but I don't know if he will have the same effect as Gasol, b/c Bosh is more of an outside shooter, one way or the other. He comes in the paint at times, but most of his game is based on his perimeter work. Therefore, I'm not nearly as intimidated by Bosh as I am by Gasol.

Bosh may have a harder time than everyone is thinking. Every team playing the Heat will be up for the game and playing hard. Bosh can shoot from outside, but when he goes inside, he will get hammered. A PF on the opposing team doesn't have to be an All-star to be tough inside. He just has to be Big, motivated, and play hard. I hope the Heat get bodies put on them when they drive to the hoop. No technicals, just tough basketball.

The mental part of the game will be the toughest obstacle for this trio imho. We all know what they were capable of doing on the basketball court when the offense was ran through them. But how will Bosh react when he has 3 consecutive games where he scores 11, 13, and 9 points in those games? Will he try to do to much? The same applies for Wade and James as well.

There's not going to be anything to guard. By the time the season is half over, LeBron and Wade aren't going to let go of the ball. Bosh teaming up with those two was dumb. He's going to get some easy shots if teams don't recover on the double team, but I don't know if most teams will bother doubling. You really can't double, when one team has so many legitimate threats, so I actually think things will be harder for Bosh. Look for games where Bosh has 6 shots or less.

Bosh < Pau Gasol

Somebody on espn radio yesterday was talking about Miami having 3 of the top ten players in the league. I'll give you lbj and wade being top 3 in the league. But for me Bosh is more of a top 25 type player in the NBA, behind many players such as durant, gasol, dirk, d rose, paul pierce and others.

Bosh is not Dlee and he will be surelly frustrated to be a garbage man.

I agree. He's clearly behind Amar'e as well.

The weakness of the miami team will be the lack of a top talent at PG.
The PG position will have the most stress distributing the ball to those 3.

If you have a lock down defender handle the PG, most of the game will come down to isolation.
The zone will be able to handle this isolation on allot of nights.

This Miami experiment will really give us fans allot of information about where the game is heading.
I have always preferred Team ball to isolation.

Miami is beatable as long as the assists are up and turnovers kept to a minimum.

we may lose, but we'll have a hell of a shot if we don't turn the ball over, and make our FT's..Mia will not be a great defense, well have to run that team out of the building.

I think Bosh has always needed to be the second or third guy to be really successful. I think he will be dangerous because who do you double on this team? Wade, Bron, or Bosh? If Wade and Lebron continue to create it will leave Bosh plenty of opportunties to score and go one on one downlow. Amare has made a living off of playing with a HOF caliber point guard so it will be interesting to see his numbers this coming season. Whereas Bosh played with who? And the Raptors never really had an all-star caliber player next to him.

I think a lot of the "Top 3" talk is based upon Hollinger's Player Efficiency Rating... the same rating that has Kobe as 15. I think one of the deficiencies of the player efficiency rating is that it seems to overrate good players on bad teams. i.e. the player that has no other high end players on his team will have an exceptional PER whereas the best player (Kobe) on a team with multiple highend players is rated worse than other players (like Pau).

Totally agree with playa. Bosh has shown at various times that he is very capable of even making things happen on his own. I still remember when he played us at MSG and people were saying that was the difference between Lee & Bosh, that you could just dump the ball to Bosh and he could score like a star.

Now, Bosh didn't do it consistently enough last year to be a franchise player. Thing is, he doesn't need to do that either way anymore. With Wade and LeBron drawing a ton of attention, totally agree that Chris Bosh is going to look dangerous as hell next season. People will probably start saying he is the best big man in the league (even though he probably won't be).

For all we said this past season about how good LeBron made his teammates look, you have to admit that great players make others better. With that said, LeBron and Wade will make a star (Bosh) look lethal.

I think it will only be a matter of time before you have Wade taking split minutes at the PG position.
If he starts to dominate the ball... than I think eventually Egos will be bruised.
Especially when the media starts asking Lebron how it feels to be on Wade's team.

The media has an uncanny way of stirring up trouble.

How many people who have rated Gasol ahead of Bosh before the Lakers won their championship in 2009? It was only up until the most recent playoffs did people finally stop labeling Gasol "soft" and he finally began to receive his due accolade as one of the best big men that he is.

Bosh could've been soft, sure. Or he could've been bored out of his mind in Toronto, because he lacked the leadership to propel his team into the playoffs. Now in Miami, Bosh doesn't have to lead, doesn't have to make the big play every time for his team, which only increases the odds that he DOES become a greater threat. He is going to get some amAZING looks from Lebron and with D-Wade breaking down defenses, Bosh is going to clean up real good.

Kobe at 15th based on stats sounds about right. His #s dropped off a bit--maybe because of multiple injuries. What other players do you think have misleading PERs?
