he started out 22 a week ago and in the post today

The 24-year-old undrafted late bloomer, whose deal became official yesterday, doesn't have the stats to suggest he's ready for the NBA. But European scout Kevin Wilson scouted him hard, the Knicks worked him out in May and team brass feels he has the skills to succeed, even though he averaged just 7.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18.9 minutes in 2009-10 with Khimki Moscow Region.

By the time the season starts, he'll be 37. Just look at Greg Oden. He was drafted at 19. Three years later, he's 82.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

my expectations for this guy are Steven Hunter when he was with the Suns. He was very solid off the bench. He would come in for 15 maybe 20 minutes a night and give you good defense, rebounding and shot blocking. He is in the right place because with Felton running the team and all these athletic guys there will be a ton of motion where he clearly thrives.

Not looking at a 30mpg starter here. If he is yahoo, but I'm looking at a 15-20 minute bench guy who is athletic shot blocking rebounder. Good fit next to Amare. Size of the bench is huge for us, plus he fits into the uptempo mold. Dude can really run and jump out of the gym

Two of them should be flagrants on LeBron.

I trust that after bringing in so many players to help on D that this guy must've been VERY impressive for them to spend so much on him. They really went thru great measures to keep it secret too. It makes you think they have high hopes for this guy down the line.

It's hard to know how he'll adjust but he looked impressive and clearly has the athletic ability to play for MDA. I expect him to go thru an adjustment period but show some signs and eventually settle in as a solid C off the bench.

My expectations for him are simple: To crush his enemies, see them driven before him, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

At least the contract is rumored to only have 1 guaranteed year on it.

When it was first reported to be 3y/10M I was furious because that would have potentially ruined any hope of adding another max player next summer.

Given that I feel a bit better about the signing.

Still say he's just a big unknown that will probably be nothing of note in the end. Maybe we get surprised. It's been a long time since we've been surprised by a random out of the blue addition.

Lacking passion, huh?

I'll try to work on that as the day wears on. Maybe by the end of the Raptor SL game I'll float up another gem from the sewers of my mind.

Mozgov once borrowed an hour from father time, and turned it into a decade.

Mozgov once stole the sickle from the cold, bony hands of the grim reaper outside a convenience store, for no apparent reason

Mosgov's birth certificate is being framed in bulletproof glass, to replace The Declaration of Independance on display

Mozgov handed Moses The Ten Commandments and added an Eleventh which said, "Thou Shalt Not Have A Clear Path To The Basket"

"He is the most interesting Knicks player in the world

he still needs work mostly with his post moves shooting and working with his hands better

dont forget its europe basketball meaning they play mostly zone defense where as most points are scored from the perimeter and averaging 4 rebounds and 1 block a game is considered a little above average in that type of game and especially in playing a limited 20 minutes (of 40 games total minutes

its a nice payback to that huge billboard prokorov and jayz put next to MSG!!!

He is 23 now, and will be 24 by the time the season starts.

If you ever watched those old Dannon yogurt commercials you will know that Russians are regularly living to 120 years old Briggs- this guy eats a lot of yogurt, I hear, and is about 17 in U.S. years.

He's a young'un.

Yeah...thanks Arnold.

One of the most tortured lines in cinema, by the way. Must have taken him 50 takes to spit it out.

7/16/86- For all intents and purposes, he is 24, although with all the fudged birthdates for Latin Am players in MLB, and what doubt over a guy like Yi, you can never be sure of how old a foreign import is.
