My time Warner bundle is getting bigger and I'm due for a price increase. Kind of pissing me off, and with a league pass it will be obnoxious. Last year League pass not all high def! Direct tv has YES and MSG and be much less.

Anyone have direct tv and happy? Dish network better?

Internet Only League Pass @ High Definition : $99
High Definition TV with HDMI input that you already own : $0
20 ft high quality HDMI cable : $20 - $30

Stickin it to nba.com, comcast, dish network, direct tv : Priceless

i had both directv and dish.. DTV customer service sucks, and dish seems to have problem getting the contract for the league pass every year... last year, they were not ablt to secure a deal until the season started..... stick with cable... unfortunately..

I have Directv and the only reason I have it is for the football package(Seahawk fan), although I can't complain about all the other stuff I get for the price. I must agree with TKF about the customer service. Directv is great, just pray that nothing ever goes wrong, because their customer service is teh worst ever.

I once needed to move my dish to another spot on my house because the snow was affecting reception where I had it located. The new place was on my roof which was a third story of our house. I took a day off and waited for the technician. They gave me a time slot and no one showed. they gave me another time slot and no one showed. They gave me another and no one showed. Next day was a Saturday and the same thing happened. I called fuming on Monday morning and they promised a technician would be at my house that morning between 8 and 10. No one showed. I told them that If I didn't have a technician at my house in 15 minutes I was going to cancel my service. 15 minutes later I heard a truck pull up. I heard a man say "ah, hell no!!!!!!!!!!" and then saw the exhaust of his truck as he sped away. Unfortunately Directv had me by the bizzalls because the football package was the only way I could watch the Seahawks. So I climbed on the roof and somehow figured out a way to move the dish. Things have been excellent since then, but I pray that I never need their customer service again, unless I'm buying something.

I just hope that people will like me

NBA League Pass on Directv is SUPERIOR to the other companies(Cable or Dish).

Benefits:
- 90% of games are available in HD. All Knick games are HD though.
- Dual Feeds offered. By that I mean you have the away and home team video feed which means Clyde Frazier all year long and no annoying announcers.
- Superior HD picture quality compared to Time Warner Cable and ATT U-Verse.

Cons:
- Price. Directv is kind of expensive but considering they are superior in their sports offering it isn't bad.

I live in a 2 story town house and I never had a problem with a tech. Make sure you get the "Slim Line" Dish. Do not let those fools hook up the Dish that needs 2 coaxial runs to each box for DVR to work.

YES, very, very happy with DirecTV. I get the early bird discount every year; its billed automatically to my account. I also (for $10a month) have the Sports Pak which allows me to also catch the pre and post game shows. With just the league pass, you only get the game with no post pre-game summary.

imo, the post game can be as compelling to watch as the game itself. Esp if it was a very good win :)

also, DirecTV has gotten so much better in poor weather. I used to have signal problems whenever it rained. Now, last time I had a signal problem it was when we had the blizzard here in Baltimore and the Dish was completely covered in snow and ice.

does anyone remember the story I told about falling off my roof.....^thats when it happened

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

If MSG is on Direct TV, why get league pass?

My cable moved all the channels around and might get League pass in HD. ITs the reason I passed on it the last two years.

Get enough games on NBATV in HD and TBS/TNT etc. I really am fine just watching Knicks and what is available nationally.

In Baltimore, you get MSG?

DIrect TV, Like cable uses contract workers in my area. When they come IN the house they used these guys. They are the same guys that do Direct TV. Funny they won't go up 3 stories!!!

For people out of state Knick games are blacked out without League Pass. Also I like to follow 1-3 teams for a season versus watching random teams playing.

I used to have the NFL ticket, but when they skyrocketed the price over the years, I found it cheaper and more fun to hang out at the sports bars with my buddies and catch the games on sundays.... LOL

comcast offered the same thing as well, depending on how many games are on that night, they will show dual feeds, they did so last year.... plus I also keep the online feed for games on as well.. no big deal there..

HD is HD... give me any HD and I am fine.. LOL

with all the other crap I had to put up with directv, I will deal with the lesser evil in cable..

Plus a good rainstorm, kills the feed... I don't care what people say.. doesn't matter how strong your signal is.. clouds come and the feed is disrupted...

I used to do that, but I'm a Seattle fan. I end up sitting in the corner of the bar being the only person watching the small black and white tv showing their game.

I dont recall Comcast offering more than a single game NBA League Pass game in HD a night.

Oh and HD isnt HD. U-verse's HD quality for sports looks worse than cable.
