Kahn is bailing on Ramon already?

Timberwolves looking to trade Sessions

After signing Ramon Sessions(notes) to a four-year, $16 million contract a year ago, Minnesota Timberwolves general manager David Kahn is trying to unload the guard to teams able to absorb his salary, league executives told Yahoo! Sports.

“They’re basically looking for a salary dump,” said an executive with a team who spoke to Minnesota. “That won’t be easy.”

Kahn’s plan this time?

Trying to sign point guard Luke Ridnour(notes) to an identical four-year, $16 million contract, league sources said.

Still, Ridenour has shown little interest with the T’wolves, sources said, and seems willing to wait for a more compelling offer. What’s unclear is how this would affect Minnesota with Jonny Flynn(notes) as the starting point guard and the rights to Spain’s Ricky Rubio(notes), who could come to the NBA after the 2010-11 season.

Minnesota has also shown serious interest with free-agent point guard Shaun Livingston(notes), sources said.

I would have rathered Sessions as a cheaper alternative to Felton, but if Felton helps us get Paul or Parker, then I am all for it.

I have always maintained this dude wants to start 5 PGs and has no interest in any other type of player. Trade Felton to him for Rubio, he wont be able to refuse a PG that's active over one that's in Spain.

Look at their lineup and think about the fact that they had a ton of picks the last few years.

Not sure what is going on in this guy's head, but he does not seem like a basketball guy.

I'm not going to do it, but you have to think that if you look at what he could have picked up, you could have put together a pretty good squad just through the draft these last two years.

We can add a little more variety to the lineup.

Pass First PG: Rubio
Lead Guard: Flynn
Combo Guard: Livingston
Shoot First PG: Sessions
Veteran PG: Ridnour

What years are the picks from, and what PGs will be available when he picks.

Briggs- go through your HS player database and come up with a list of 17 and 18 year olds Kahn will be looking to draft in a few years.

Kahn is a mess. I also read where he is still saying Rubio is not available in a trade. How do you trade a big as good as Jefferson for picks and an exception? Who is signing in Minny? The only guys that play there were traded there or on their rookie contracts.
