First time in years!

Sure we got Curry, but he not in any position to command a thing.

But for the first time in years no over paid cap foddering expiring diva acts.

No Larry Hughes, NO NOsHarrington, No Marbury, no Jaelin, no Big or LIttle Penny, and of course Marbury.

No Nate (distraction to coach).

This is MDA's team now. No high expectations and no prophecy to fulfil.

Playoffs, even if one and done is an improvement.

A BIgger team, Youthier and no long term bloated contracts. Even Felton has big incentive!

Room to sign one big max contract and assets to trade if need be.

MDA has his locker room back.

How do you know what this owner's expectations are for the year? Also, how do you know what mindsets have just arrived in the locker room? How do I know Amar'e and MDA don't become turmoil issue NY style now vs the issues they had in PHX? Where are the guarantees that Randolph get along with MDA better than he did with Nellie? It's one thing to be positive about the upcoming season. It's another to go right back to making proclamations about it.

I think D'Antoni is going to rely on Amare and Felton to lead the team. I think he and Amare have overcome their differences. I am not sure how D'Antoni will do with this roster because I think things have been in constant transition since he has been in NY. I personally think he should have done a better job the last two years but there is some validity to the argument that everything was geared for building the team this summer. D'Antoni gets a new team but I do think the past two years need to be considered in evaluating his performance if his team struggles again.

Evaluating talent is one thing but when talking about how personalities mesh together is another. We should let the season play out a little on that one.

And Walsh's team. Both have been running the Knicks for 2 years and we now have only 2 players on the present team who were on the team 2 years ago. Eddie Curry and Wilson Chandler. A huge turnover of personnel. Walsh has made this team; is still building it; and the team is all his!
