Wow. They are making some really "interesting" signings that will keep them out of free agency for a few years. What's next for the Nets?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I am not sure what the Nets are doing or thinking. Petro, Farmar, Morrow, and Outlaw? They need to sign Scola.

seems like the russian dude needs to learn about how the salary cap works and how it doesn't matter how much money you can spend, the nba wont let you spend it.

The Russian may not, but isn't Avery Johnson supposed to understand the cap? Ah well hope that together they can completely destroy what's left of the Nets.

I don't understand. Is 3yrs/12mil too much for Farmar?

i think it was a joke... meaning they are signing no one of any real interest, ie big name free agents.

3 years/12 million for Farmar is fine.... on a contending team. In the Nets scenario, why not offer him 2 years/8 million with the second year as a team option? The Nets get no benefits by giving long term contracts to role players when they have a 12 win team.

Signing too many role players for a team thats not ready for primetime....I think maybe they are going to try to play uptempo and agressively on the defensive end and throw 10 players out there.

Expect them to move Devin Harris, Farmer has said he wants to be a starter in this league and have a bigger role that's one of the reasons he left the other being money.

The nets have quietly assembled a team that could compete. If they get scola they could seriously make the playoffs.

I dont see it at all. This looks like 25 win team to me. What am I supposed to be impressed about? Brook the turtle Lopez? Devin never healthy Harris? Like vdesai said.. they have a team of backups. They still look like one of the worst teams in the NBA. All they did was take some good role players who were making peanuts and gave them bigger contracts. Hows that good?

Seems like the Nets are just signing people to use in a future S&T.

Thorn used to sit back and cherry pick the guys that were left and they always seemed to fit his teams needs. These signing don't seem like moves he would make. Didn't they give away CDR for cap space?
