btw my all-time 10 favorite otis songs (outside of his big hits):

down in the valley
these arms of mine
for your precious love
come to me
glory of love
home in your heart
mr. pitiful
that's how strong my love is
love man
look at the girl

I've been playing the Immortal Otis for 3 years straight in the car. (mr pitiful and these arms of mine are on it) I'm obsessed with that album. Every song.

Yes- Live at Monterey is great- so is "King and Queen" with Carla Cook- and Live at the Whiskey a Go Go, and Live in Europe- He's the man! We didn't even mention Dock of the Bay-
Otis said when Sam Cooke died he saw it as his mission to spread Soul music to as many people as possible- and he did.

speaking of sam, 3 major recommendations - which you probably already have because you’re a major soul man!

live at harlem square
rhythm and the blues
sam cooke with the soul stirrers

Oh that's great- I don't have those -def getting on ebay to find the LPs- I only know his singles- there was a great NPR show about his life a year ago that I caught in the car- very beautiful story- and tragic death.

Hendrix opening for the Monkees? Wow I'm NEVER complaining about who I open for again. That's like The Lord opening for Oral Roberts.

Really? I think Hendrix did pretty good getting that exposure.

ANd Certainly the LORD is now bigger after opening for Oral!

You sucker it up and open for Justin Bieber or the Jonas Brothers if you have to, then watch your career explode!

Looks at Chris Bosh, he is a "Superstar" now!!!! Third fiddle.

Dock of the Bay... Late 60's .... I was there...

Your 93 Buick just doesn't match up to the muscle cars of that era. Nice looking though and you have the right music.
