It looks like their big signing will be Scola. I think Avery will have that team competing.

I like Luis Scola. He's a nice player to put next to Brook.

It's hard to fathom why that team was so bad last season.

Really? Frank is a good coach. Johnson did not get anywhere with a stacked Mavs team. How many former players actually go on to be good coaches or GMs for that matter? Its pretty rare.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Phil Jackson, Larry Bird (great coach), Scott Skiles, Pat Riley, Byron Scott... the list of former players making great coaches is a pretty long one.

I think the Nets will be improved. 30 win territory - that's +18 wins. Not remotely playoffs caliber.

I'd like to see harrington land on the nets since he likes the area so much.

It's called Lame duck COACH syndrome

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

If the refs didn't intervene Mavs are champs against Wade and Shaq. Wade and the phantom calls got into the mavs head.

i remember 2 calls in the series that would warrant that. and i remember at LEAST that many for mj and kobe in each of their finals series, big, mobile, powerful 2-guards who handled the ball exclusively, took over games, forced contact and forced the refs to make calls. i've never heard either of them referred to as being "handed' any of their 11 rings. because wade got just one and because he totally hosed the mavs people love to perpetuate the myth.

I have to agree with this opinion also. I thought Wade was gifted a lot, as well. IMHO, Mavs were robbed of that championship. That's the one sad state of the NBA. The refs have a ridiculous amount of influence and can change a game with just a few "questionable" calls.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
