Anyone keeping an eye on Curry these days? Is he in shape, playable, willing to put some effort into the game?

Honestly I did read somewhere he's down to 275. Doubt it though.

Besides he hasn't played ball in years. Rusty wouldn't even be the word to describe how horrible he would be.

Who cares? Eddy Curry is just a big and fat expiring contract. He's not even considered a player anymore. He'll never get playing time infront of Anthony Randolph or Ronny Turiaf.

Weighs 230 lbs., now, and has been working on his 3 point shot, I'm told. Feels that SF is his natural position.

On a serious note- I refuse to think of this guy as an asset on our team at this time. He has always disappointed us so far, and there is nothing that makes me think that will change.

Hope I am wrong, but...

He broke 5 scales last week by stepping on them to weigh himself

9 months until his contract expires

1 more year.

That's all I have to say regarding this failure of a professional athlete.

As cap fodder its important we just keep him alive. Otherwise we can't trade him in the afterlife.

He gives us some choices.

The goal here is that his contract "expires" before his body. Thats not asking for too much is it?

I may be in the minority, but at this point I could care less about his basketball status and am just praying he's getting his off the court crap together. I hope for his sake he'll be able to sign a contract with another team when this one expires and THEN be able to get his game going again.

Isn't he wanted and on the run from the law? I thought the cops were looking for him , something about him not paying a civil suit

Hell, being on the run might be the best way for him to lose some weight.

Whatever we do, DO NOT BUY HIM OUT. He will go to the heat. 1 on 1 we know he can't be stopped, except for the stupid occasional offensive fouls.

It's not his fault that he was injured this season - he worked his fat butt off last season but suffered a freak injury. Let's not hold it against him.

You forgot that he let himself get out of shape first. Yeah, he worked his but off after that, but when you haven't been playing much and eating lots, your body just can't handle it. A good analogy would be like someone cramming for an exam but not passing. The best thing to do is just be steady the whole year. Curry slacked.
