I'm going with 35 right now.

Sure with Drunkhon gone and no more playing keep away with Lee --- and Al HangOnTheRim no longer around to chuck shots: Chandler and Gallo should improve. Amare is an upgrade.

Yet, for what now the 8th season in a row, I can't help but see 35 wins. Each season I've been wrong...we failed to be better than 33.

It's just that without that 2nd max guy I have a hard time seeing this a 40 or 45 win team.

Probably too early for such a poll but...well, we're about to get pretty bored here I think given free agency. Outside of a Curry & Chandler trade or some random signings we're probably done.

I think the lineup may be Amare, Randolph, Gallo, Chandler and Felton before long.

Chandler cannot start at SG because he isn't a SG. Not a good dribbler, shooter or decision maker. We need a real shooting guard. If we can't trade for one then start Walker or Azubuike.

Either way, it depends on Felton and Randolph's progress as a player. If they do well, I say 45 wins. If they don't, 33 wins.

I agree on Chandler, definitely. Yet you know he's probably penciled in there for now until another solution arises.

I realize it's early for this poll and we'll be doing a new one once we see some SL, training camp, and pre-season games to get an ACTUAL feel for these guys.

But for now... thinking around 35.

Ira, you may be correct, but I think we may see Turiaf start first before we go throwing Randolph on the fire in MSG. Never know with MDA though as Randolph would suit him better speed wise. Yet most coaches would go more conventional with the proven rugged Turiaf and allowing Amare to play PF. Time will tell.

well, I chose 41-45 of the available options, but I think the team is a 41 win team, + or - 2. Or 39-43 wins

Yeah, my poll options suck. I fudged up the spreads should have gone by 3's. Oh well lol... the point is the convo.

Mike D being fired? I don't think so. I think Mike finishes out the season. Again, what was his contract? 3 years, 4th year option? 3 years ends 2011.

Also who replaces him? A couple you would think of have been locked up this offseason.

We'll roll with Mike regardless of record.

I just think this is a young, hungry team that has one proven commodity, who happened to succed in a big way in offense. I love that linkages to the old, bad habits are broken. There's a lot of talent and potential on the roster. We'll see how does with this team. We'll see if he can get some of the players to realize their potential. If he can't get it to perform then I say the coaching debate is over and the Suns success was mostly due to Nash
