Not that Eddy & Larry Brown were a great match in NY but he fits into their half-court offense.
With the Bobcats re-signing Tyrus Thomas and having defensive centers in Diop & Mohammed, Chandler could be available.

If Eddy is not in our plans (even though the Knicks want us to believe he is) move him for a player with basically the same expiring contract that can possibly be our starting Center. He still can be moved at the trade deadline or just expire.

At this stage of the game Ronnie Turiaf is better than Tyson Chandler...Tyson has been off the grid for the last few seasons now.

A trade of 2 busts. I guess I'd only do it so I can finally rid of the last of Isiah's garbage.

Chandler makes about a million more than Curry, so the Boobkittens may decide to save money. I'd like to have the more expensive expiring contract for use in a S&T for Carmelo in february. Especially if Chandler can overcome the turf toe and become a player again.

Curry's only value to another team is as an expiring contract- why take an expiring asset who may not be able to be on the floor for an expiring asset who can give you some minutes.

Is there something I'm not seeing? Does not seem to be something that makes sense for the Bobcats, although as a Knicks fan, I would have no problem with it. They only save $1.5 M in cap space, and get a guy who takes up space on the bench. They would want more- probably for us to take on another contract.

If Eddy Curry is in shape and motivated in the last year of his contract, he could contribute in their snails pace offense. They have no real low-post player and they save a few bucks.

We get a 7'1 rebounder & shot-blocker who should also be motivated. Nice compliment to Amare.

The key is matching a rebounder/shot-blocker at center with Amare. Curry's value is as a low post scorer, which we have Amare for. This trade takes care of needs for both teams without any $ issues. Both players are injury-prone but you have to expect they'll bring it in the last year of their contracts. Also our new point guard will be re-united with his former center, which would bring some immediate chemistry.

no... the key now would be a bigtime SG. A big guy who can score and defend at a high level.

I think the guy you really hope you can get is Rip Hamilton. He's not young but he's a great scorer and defender. He's heady. He's won a title. He's a perfect fit here. A real veteran by example.

This lineup has massive potential to beat more talented teams because of its size, speed, versatility and style of play
PG Felton
SG Rip 6'6
SF Gallo 6'10
PF Randolph 6'11
C Amare 6'10
bench: Douglas, Chandler, Turiaf, Walker, Azubuke

Obviously the x factors are how good and how fast AR and Gallo progress but that team has potential to dominate

Like the thought but rather give Walker the nod over Rip

Mayo being younger would be better choice and fit

yeah, id love to have rip, but that eats up all of our capspace for next year because we'd have to trade curry to get him.

I would do that in a heartbeat.
Maybe we can trade Eddy Curry straight up for Tyson Chandler?
