the knicks have a great point guard and the best back up poing guard in the nba in my opinion. i could say without any pressure that frank could start for any nba team as far as his talent goes and as far as his leadership at the position goes (pg). the knicks have one of the best shooters in the nba at sg. i also think the allan needs to get more stonger with the ball and find his teamates more. he talks about defense being the key and he must play with the mentality on a consistent basis in the game. the knicks alose are solid the sf position with keith being of a role but i think the needs to step up on defense more against the better opposition(ron kills keith on defense at kieth doesn't do the same to him, and t-mac at his position get guarded by allan isn't good enough)van horn must step up on defense and use his height more effectively. kurt thomas needs to rebound more effectively when going up against more effective players like antawn jamison, jermaine o'neil, shariff, ran. these guys get offensive rebounds over him. he needs to put his shot in more effeciently also, and stay off the silly fouls and silly emotion. i think he should be fine. dikembe is alright with me as long as he does everything he's been doing. rebounding, blocking. he needs to stay away from the sillyness with the refs though.
the knicks bench is solid with penny, frank, shandon, othella, doleac. i like all of those guys. they have to keep playing their game and be a good second unit.
these are my thoughts.
tell me what you think

IMO we are one move away from where we need to be. Top 5? Not yet...

When we get someone to hold down the low blocks for us, then we can talk top 5 in the East.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Yup, top 5 eastern team easy. I no longer wish we could avoid games vs some of those teams. I now look forward to those games knowing they will b exciting especially the nets.
I think we have a more exciting rivalry now.

Kidd vs. Marbury
Houston vs. Kittles
KVH vs. Jefferson
Thomas vs. Martin

Deke vs. Collins fits in there sumwhere, even tho its not all that exciting.

portland had players with the talent but w/o chemistry, leadership ability, competitiveness. they were also a bunch of hard heads with no team spirit. i think the knicks have that and stephon and lenny will make this team jell and be competetive

Talent wise this Knick team is definitely a top 5 team in the East. NJ, Detroit, and Indiana are the only teams clearly ahead of us. New Orleans is the only other team that might be a little better than us, but I still think the Knicks are better than the Hornets. However, the problem with the Knicks has always been that they don't play as well as they should. Even before we traded for Marbury I think the Knicks had enough talent to contend for the 5th of 6th seed in the East. Thats how bad the East really is. The question has always been, what Knick team is going to show up for the game?

and whats wrong with that? before steph got here, van horn was sometimes the only productive player on the court.

A couple games since Zeke got here, Keith has taken his game to the next lvl. I think hes now a good fit for this team, although im not against trading him if we can get a more talanted player

When KVH gets traded for someone who can play down in the low post for us, see if you change your tune.

I can see you and the rest of the haters running behind the bandwagon trying to hitch a ride like Rerun on the beginning of What's Happening. LMMFAO!!!

That's all you needed to say. The bonus lip service was unnecesary. If you read the convo between blueandorange and I, maybe you would have grasped that.

I am still excited about tonight's win, so I will take the high road right now...

I dont want any more major changes. I would like an athletic big like Chris Anderson or Camby but I'm not giving up Frank to get it right now, because we can get one wiht the MLE.

This offense will take care of itself. KVH is now in the perfect compliment of players to play like he did when he got that max contract. Man to man KVH isnt a good player, but if he catches the ball when his man isnt set he's going to score on you... plain and simple. Also a 6'10 he's a good rebounder and finisher in traffic.

So far I love Penny as well. He's a perfect backup for Houston and KVH at the 2/3. And I've been VERY impressed by his energy on defense.

I think it will just come down to how well does this team play defense together? If they can play a good team D we are right there with the best in the East. If we struggle to get stops we will probably make the playoffs but get bounced early by a NJ or Indy.

Can't you guys at least wait until we play some contending team who play well. The knicks under lenny hasn't proved anything yet. Let's wait nad see what happen when teams aren't letting us shoot wide open shots as Clyde Frazier alluded to. Lay off the bong we are doing what we did during the 4 game winning streak blowing out bad teams.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

yes teams will go man to man to try and stop the open j's but if that happens, Steph goes to the hoop. How many point guards can stop his moves to the basket. If they're good enough, quick enough u are going to see picks to spring him or a player dropping off to help and he has the vision to hit the drop off man's player ie pick and roll to the basket or an open j.

That is what Stephon brings to the offense. He's perfect for an offense like the knicks with everyone around him having the ability to hit the open 12-15 footer (exc Deke)
