And by that I mean none of them had any thought of ever signing with Toronto, Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, Chicago?

And always knew, since Beijing, that they would be teammates in Miami?

And put on this ruse in order to film their documentary?

Causing teams to spend MILLIONS on multiple meetings and change their entire game plans thinking they had a shot to land any or some of these three? Putting off other deals. Spending money left and right on presentations and the like?

If so, and I'm starting to think it's not that far fetched of a witch hunt to see this POV, they should be investigated, and their "suckumentary" should be made property of the NBA and yanked from their greedy little claws.

If they did this there should be fines galore and maybe a voiding of this Miami Thrice gathering.

Remember...the NBA rescinded Riley's signing of Juwan Howard's contract because of some dispute in regards to how Riley got both Mourning AND Howard to sign at once.

Just a thought on my part...

I agree these guys never had any intention of signing anywhere but Miami.

Is it really surprising in the age of "reality tv"?

The whole thing has been a farce and I hope that the NBA learns something from the experience, and puts some rules into place about this stuff. It starts to look like a huge practical joke.

The NBA is a practical joke. Two teams have won the majority of championships need I say more. There have been suspect trades made year after year. Players and GMs collude to get deals done that favor their past teams need I say more. In the NBA what these three bozos pulled will fly it seems to be the norm.

Cos, very interesting thought on your part. Very, very interesting.

I'm thinking teams could litigate against those players. If the teams incurred expenses, because the players where looking for proposals, and the teams expected their offers to be *considered* but never were considered, then I'd say the teams have a legitimate claim

This sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory. But if there is any evidence tat this is true, then it should be fully investigated.

big deal spending money on presentation..what about clearing up cap space on the false hope of signing this fraud..the knicks would now have more assets such as future draft choices for more flexibility baby which would have made it quicker to build a contender

I doubt anything legal can be done.
but I bet this will be an issue the owners raise with the cba.

and you can bet that owners will think twice when dealing with any of the agents involved.

also, I don't want chris paul, simply by association.

I made this case this morning but Martin Removed my Cover Notes. I wish he wouldn't have done it but he is the boss.

Dan Gilbert flat out and very specifically charged Lebron with tanking several key playoff games. Deserving of a life-time ban if true. If he really believes it, he should demand an inquiry.

Guys you can't ever prove this stuff. Intent is the one thing you can't litigate against.

Welcome to Miami, LeBron, as Heat begin the party

By TIM REYNOLDS,
AP Sports Writer

MIAMI (AP) Done deal. LeBron James and Chris Bosh are members of the Miami Heat.

The Heat completed sign-and-trade deals with Cleveland and Toronto on Friday night for their two newest superstars. The Heat sent two future first-round and two second-round picks to the Cavaliers for James, while packaging two first-round picks to the Raptors for Bosh.

James, Bosh and Dwyane Wade all signed six-year contracts Friday night, each leaving millions of dollars on the table in order to provide the Heat flexibility to build a championship roster. They could have made $16.6 million apiece this season, but took less money - none would say how much less - to get the deals done.

Sign and trades! why would the cavs and raptors do that is it? I would say keep your picks to hell with you

Bosh apparently completely slipped and said they agreed on this months ago during yesterday's festivities.

That means the free agent courting was indeed an absolute sham designed to use teams so they could film a reality tv documentary on the free agent process.

They had ZERO interest in joining any of these teams. They pretended to do so in order to film their documentary. They used teams for this with no intention of joining those teams and knew before hand they weren't ever going to do so.

They did it all on purpose to make their film.

I can't believe they can get away with this. I just can't believe it.

Look, I believe Lebron when he said that they indeed discussed this very possibility much, much earlier, but didn't take it too seriously because he never knew it could be done. That was probably his mindset in 2008 at Beijing.

Once it became known that Miami could pull this off, whenever that was, then it was likely that all 3 were focused on sticking together. I'm quite certain that the place wouldn't HAVE to be Miami. It just turned out that it was the most viable destination to make all of the contracts and signings work.

Did Wade,Bron,Bosh use teams to film their documentary?
