What has made Walsh's reputation as a good GM has been his ability to get great value out of trades. Everyone knows about the 2 big ones... Dale Davis for Jermaine Oneil, and Jalen Rose for Artest, Brad Miller and Mercer.

What kind of future do you see for AR?

the next Jermaine Oneil... all star caliber player
the next Jonathan Bender... all star talent but injuries or other factors derail his career (bust)
something in between... good value for a guy who was leaving anyway. Like a Taysaun Prince caliber player. Good rotation guy.

Not to rehash old ****. But Walsh didn't even want to make that trade for O'Neil. Isiah talked him into it. All parties have already acknowledge this.

I picked all star mostly because of the MDA factor. I think MDA will love this guy. MDA loved JJ. Randolph is a more athletic version of JJ who can block shots, rebound, shoot, great handle, post up and finish around the hoop. AR is a guy who will really thrive in the space and motion created by an MDA offense. Inflated stats? Maybe... but he wil be an impact guy in this system which is basically a PG and 4 forwards.

(now all we need is a PG)

between Larry Brown, Larry Bird and Isiah Thomas, Walsh has ALWAYS been known as a GM who gets his coaches the guys they want.

He believes in his coaches and gets them everything they need to succeed. Brown, Bird and Isiah all coached winning teams with pretty much 3 diffrerent casts of players.

Either way Walsh was GM and its on him. Good for Isiah for calling it, good for Walsh for executing it.

This kids major flaw is playing too hard and taking things too seriously. He's majorly hard on himself. Mike Breen and Clyde described him as almost in tears he's so pumped up. I think this kids passion for the game is on an incredible level. He's just got to channel it. He took a major stride last season. He's gonna have the perfect coach to channel his abilities.

I see him as a 4 but he can be a factor at the 5. His handle is like Odom. His motor is like Camby in his prime. He's gonna block shots. He's gonna run the floor. He's gonna hit the jumper. He's gonna take cats off the dribble. He's gonna compete with Amar'e for most dunks over the top of people.

One thing he's gonna need is minutes and a point guard.

You say all that and didn't acknowledge we should have taken him in the draft on draft day 2007. LOL

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

He wasn't ready then, but most people i talk to thinks this kid has gobbs of potential, he took off last year (even recorded 8 blocks in a game) and got hurt with the ankle, but raymond is a good disher, and could avg 10ast per with these bigs on the break.

i'm sorry, but i'm seeing bender here.

M'Da sucks with most young players. Randolph has an injury history and is too thin for his size.
