I tell you--I think he is back up talent. I don't think he is great at anything--any area--more like sufficient. I don't want to spend 4-5-6 mm per on this guy for 5 years.

He reminds of Duhon. A bit better shooter.

yeah, i'm not in love with ridnour.

i think they're look at him as a stop gap before tony parker (supposedly) showed up... but surely they can do better than that.

I totally agree. If we swing and miss on other players I guess I could live with a 2 year Duhon like deal, but I think Douglas brings more to the table right now.

What do people think about trying to trade for Andre Miller in Portland?

He's got two years left on his deal, but the last year is a team option.

He did great with a running squad in Philly - very similar to what we have (except we have Amare!)

He doesn't really fit with Brandon Roy in Portland.

Think he's available? Decent one year stop gap. And decent trade bait to San Antonio if Parker comes on the market at the trade deadline, in a package deal.

Hopefully he signs in Minny with Kahn and all of the other points the Knicks have expressed an interest in.

But what can the Knicks give up that POR would want. If they trade Miller they still need a PG back.

And didn't Miller kinda carry them in the playoffs?

Toney and Wilson?

Portland lost Blake and Outlaw, they might want some young cheap talent... not sure.

I know Portland covets Mo Williams from Cleveland - maybe they could try to arrange a three team deal? Though I have NO idea what Cleveland wants or needs right now.

Who else is out there, though...perhaps Livingston?

We might just be able to have some success with splitting time between Douglas and Ridnour.

Ridnour played a big roll with Milwaukee last year, he was not sulking on the bench while Jennings got all the press and glory. During the part of the year when Jennings was putting up terrible numbers, Ridnour was getting good minutes and producing.

He is not the answer, but he can be a piece of the solution until we can get someone permanently, or Douglas shows he has what it takes.

As for Felton, his shooting numbers improved, signficantly, if I remember correctly, last year. Did he do something to improve his shooting, or was it just a temporary statistical bump?

I was not able to see the series, but I also recall reading that he was completely toyed with by Nelson in the playoffs. Did anyone see this?

If any of the above 3 say they would come here, then it is up to MDA to decide who he feels he would like running the show. We missed the ball taking Duhon, although after seeing Sessions play during the year, I can't say we really missed out on anything by not signing him.

I would like a guy who can also play some perimeter D, if that is possible, something Duhon could not do for most of his time here.

All things being equal, who Walsh goes out to get is MDA's call, IMO.
