We got Anthony F'n Randolph and two other players plus a 2nd rounder for our unrestricted free agent.
Toronto - Nada, Cleveland - Nada, Phoenix - Trade exception (or something like that), Utah - Nada

Hats off to Mr. Walsh. Seriously guys, we are REALLY lucky. If nothing else we got a BIG resource to perhaps trade for Melo during the season. And if Randolph is healthy, we may not want to. BIG TALENT (hope he stays healthy. hope the change of scenery helps his head).

I am really excited to watch this team play and we still have 11 million in cap space and Fatty (another 11 million) coming off the books. We are sitting very very good considering what LeCoward did. Curry might actually put together a decent season, though it will have to involve and act of God. Damn, we should be happy. Briggs - Did you come in your pants getting Randolph? (I'm happy we got your boy).

I agree. I can't believe Walsh was able to get Randolph in the Lee trade. I am very excited about next years roster and I think Walsh is building his kind of team.

Im happy too. Getting AR was a great runner up prize. I really like what a savvy GM can pull off when he has to. Walsh has been at the top of his game

you and a few others have been spot on since yesterday. there's alot of people who can't see the forest through the trees, that's ok though - most of em rarely post anyway.

LOL, not yet.

I can't get over it. I guess Lee wanted to do right with how we treated him or was it just the 6th year. I don't get the 6th year being such a big thing.
We now have more assets and cap space in which to build a team.

Can you all imagine if Randolph is healthy, playing with Amare and Gallo? We have a great defender in Douglas, a good+ one in Gallo, an ok one with Amare, a good+ one with Azubuki sky walker (or whatever his name is)... Get the point! We at least can compete now. If we do our trades between now and early in the season we might be a pretty decent team. And now there is word of Harrington being in a S&T, I totally forget he was even on our team! More assets.

Good point surfer, and +1 to Nalod's point about the way we treated D-Lee. I really haven't our new guys in action but I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do. Walsh is alright in my book.

I don't think any of us are criticizing the Randolph trade. I'm happy we got him.

I know he did it on a losing team, but Kelenna Azubuike put up 14 pts and shot .448 from 3pt line back in 08/09.

Here's hoping he can regain that kind of form.

And I agree, on second thought, this is a tremendous deal for Lee where we could have lost him for nothing to the Nyets!

Been a good offseason so far and we still have a tremendous amount of flexibility left.

Losing:
Lee
Harrington
Duhon

Gaining:
Amare
Randolph
Azubuike
Turiaf

Not anywhere close to done. If we can get a good PG we are definitely a good deal better than last year IMO.

i expected DW to not let D Lee walk for nothing & he was able to get back a promising young player & a couple serviceable role players for him... i got nothing to complain about w/how the Knicks handled the Lee situation.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
