I think he is right about having the hour long show and then leaving Cleveland. I also think he is right about Mike Brown. The Cavs messed up a strong organization, getting rid of Brown and Ferry, in their attempt to appease LeBron.

Or....Cavs knew all along LBJ was leaving...and decided it was time to clean house all at once?

I don't know.

If they really fired the coach and GM for an ill attempt to keep LBJ then maybe LBJ was right to leave because ownership proved incompetent?

What we do know is Gilbert's comments about building a championship team from the ashes left behind by LeBron are pathetic. That team is in shambles and should be finished off. Trade Jamison for picks. Trade Varejao for picks. Start over while you have the chance.

If Gilbert re-loads that roster? Then you know he's a fool.

Who is going to Cleveland anyway? Only reason they got any halfway decent players was because of LBJ. Now why would anyone go there?

if Lebron knew he was leaving, why not let CLE know in advance so they could at least try & work some kind of 3 way deals to get something back in return for 1 of the best players in the game? i don't blame Lebron for wanting to leave CLE at all, but there's a way to do it so you don't completely screw your old franchise in the process... D Lee, to his credit, has allowed the Knicks to get back some assets in return for him instead of walking for nothing... albeit he also gained that 6th year of salary so it benefitted him too, but he didn't have to agree to go to GS... Lebron leaving CLE in the lurch is beyond classless IMHO.

Agree with you on this.

And regarding DLee, last year Donnie gave him a $7 mil 1 year contract + $1mil if we made the playofs, when he only had to give Lee the qualifying offer of about $2.5?? mil. That created a very good working relationship and trust with David Lee and his agent, Mark Bartelstein. So this year, they worked together so both sides could benefit. And we sure did benefit from that trade.

How could Lebron go and play with his friends in a S&T deal ? Wade Bosh, and Himself talked about this at the olympics and knew the only way it would work is if those two waited it out and become unrestricted free agents.

This was the only way they could have got the three of them and added the players they wanted to be there for the 2010 season.

Riley , Wade are winners, winners think ahead , Lebron is now about to grow up in the League bigtime and become a winner too !

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

You are looking at three classless individuals. Who were in my mind never FAs they knew their destination before the process even started. The wasted teams time and effort and kept them on hold. I have no problem them getting together but the way they went about it was classless.

you don't think a 3 way trade could have been worked out with another team for 1 of the top 2 players in the NBA so CLE could at least get back something in the deal? i'm talking before MIA even traded Beasley or gave up their draft pick to clear cap space, if Lebron knew he wanted to go play with D Wade & Bosh this whole time & Miami was the place to do it, why not approach CLE's management at the end of last season & say "look, i appreciate all the years of faith you put in me & i don't want to leave you guys in the lurch so i wanna tell you of my intentions now so you can see if you can try & work out some deals to get me to Miami to play with my boys"... but no, instead he chose to hold the entire NBA & the entire sports world hostage for the past 2 years hyping up his "Decision" like it was some kinda national election campaign, all in the effort to promote himself & his "brand", dropping ridiculous hints in Nike commercials, using the NY fanbase to feed his super-ego & increase the hype to never known proportions, & then to drop a nuclear bomb on the entire CLE fanbase with a 1 hour nationally televised special on ESPN... come on dude... you seriously cannot sit there & tell me you respect the way he's handled this whole thing.
