no person should be judged by his/her race when applying for a job. but with that being said, there are a true lack of minorities in high positions in many organizations. i must say, now looking at the knicks, the most important managerial positions are held by men of color and i think the new york knicks organization should be commended on it. isiah thomas, steve mills, willis reed, and lenny wilkens - is there any other organization in sports that can claim this?

this was just a quick observation that just hit me and i just wanted to throw this out there and see how people felt about that.

It will be really great for sports if they take us all the way sometime soon.

Good point, djsunyc. The Knicks (Middle/upper management) and the Bobcats (ownership) are looking like solid examples of how times are changing for the better.
