the only thing they can do to drum up excitement for next year is Prokhorov pays for Russian mail order brides for all season ticket holders & if Jay-Z immediately releases a diss record where he lyrically slays Lebron for leaving him hanging

I am shocked that the Nets haven't signed at least one of the big names. I think their guy was Rudy Gay and when he went off the market they didn't have another target.

Yeah that was a blessing in disguise.
Toronto is in bad shape as well.
Cleveland is finished.


Chicago however? Chicago did well. They essentially ADDED Carlos Boozer to a proven playoff team!

Miami still has yet to make a roster and prove that 3 ball dominant players can co-exist! They aren't all going to score 25ppg each anymore!


Orlando...wants Al Harrington? They're finished! (lol).

Crabs in a barrel mentality.

They dont have any huge deals weighing them down and they are likely going to get another top 5 pick next year.

there’s something fundamentally wrong with this team. devin harris can get open for a shot whenever he wants and never sets his body when he shoots. he's always moving, shooting at a poor angle and missing a ton of j's. brooke lopez has a great move in the post but if you take that one move away from him he can't cope and looks incredibly awkward.

I agree I was very surprised to see them fail so miserably.

I thought they had a relatively good and balanced roster. Expected at LEAST 30 wins out of them.

Funny, Lots of Starphuchers need to think its a big splash that will make the nets.

THey should keep building thru the draft then complete the roster.

The Russian should be patient and do it the right way.

As should we.

I hate to see DLee leave but the S&T gives us a 21 year old with big upside, a serviceable Center and WIng. All with easy contracts and gives us trading assets and caps space going forward.

Dlee and AMare both in prime is a waste now. We are not winning BIG this year. Its time to build a base of assets.

Nets will win a championship before the knicks do.

Nalod, you've been defending Donnie Walsh for the past 2 years & here you are saying the Nets will win a championship before the Knicks do... you call for the Nets to build their team "the right way" & not go for starphuchs, but the big splash plan was exactly the plan the Knicks went after this summer... if i've misrepresented any of your views my bad but i don't get the contradictions in your reasoning.

The Nets have built a nice roster and had the ability to add a big name to it. I think that missed opportunity will haunt them for a long time. I think it is the new ownership more than it is Rod Thorn. The Nets should have pounced on Lee or Boozer when they had the chance. In this market they might have overpaid but adding an all star vet to that roster would have don a lot for their future success.
