Guys,

I know you're angry and pissed but you got to give Pat riley mad props for getting the top 3 F'As at a discounted px. WOW..

Executive of the yr?? If Checketts would've given him the gm duties.

Knicks had 3 old men and H20 to see lebron, Jay Z, Avery and the Russian billionaire, Cheap ass chic owner but Riley came with his multiple rings and spreech Dynasty... Thats what did it...

I think there is some karma that comes into play with Riley. He could never beat the Knicks without the leagues help during the 90's. He looked like an @ss when he got rid of SVG and SVG has gone onto more than prove himself. I think he will find a way to secure his role as the villain again and not have nearly the success that should come with the signing of these three guys.

For me, I don't know how you can fault Riley, I think that;s just the LeBron decision bad vibes rubbing off on him.

I think LeBron is kind of a coward.

All I can say is that it would have been great to have a player with James' talent, but only if he trusts them enough to believe he can win with a solid team. Thats not LeBum's case. So what's the result of tonight's ridiculous theatre?

He is another victim of media frenzy and hype around sport starts/
It is tuff to stay clean and remain a man in his position.
You have to be rock-solid personality so stay away of self-distraction and narcissism.

I am very comfortable hating Pat Riley while still giving him his due props, just like I did Jordan. The dude kills my team. I don't like it, but damn, he's good.

Pat Riley is a snake I haven't respected that man since he faxed the Knicks his resignation in 95 after he promised us to bring us a title before him time was done here. If you recall we got a first round draft Pick out of Miami because of the tampering charges brought against the Heat in 1995 . Fact is... this was decided when

1) Miami drafted Wade with the 5th pick back in 2003.
2) Miami winning the title in 2006 with Shaq.

Wade, Bosh and James are all pals... this decision was driven by friendships and the fact that Wade is a proven Man by winning the title in 2006.

Every other team's roster, cap situation, coaching/management pales against those two factors.

Now whether this is good for Lebron's legacy I would say definitely not. Legacy-wise he should have stayed in Cleveland. The Knicks were a decent choice as it wasn't the easy way out but it would have been a very tough road (and would it have been so much better than Cleveland to warrant his leaving? No.)

For him to leave Cleveland (and be hated in his hometown) requires a situation that is head and shoulders above the others. Miami is that choice, but it really is a deal with the devil for him.

Rose is not the answer.

Yes.

So the money they are "giving up" (rumored to be about 1.5M each last check?) is about the same amount in taxes they'd had to pay in another state.

So they're essentially still "netting" a max contract each anyway.
