I really hope Zeke can bring back Camby. From what I've heard, he's made a couple offers to Denver but they didn't want anything we had to offer.

Anyone know what his contract is like?

I'd be all for a Williams/Kurt trade for him. While I really would hate to see Franky and Kurt go, I still think that Camby could put us over the top if he stays healthy. It would be a better trade than the rumors for Rasheed or Rahim.

Until then, I'll be fine seeing if our current roster can atleast get us past .500

wow, are you kidding me? You would trade a very good low post defender who can pick and roll and hit the 15 footer AND an up and coming PG for an injury prone shot blocker who has zero outside shot? WOW.

Camby has a player buyout after this season.

How about a Camby trade like this:

New York trades:
C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.0 apg in 33.5 minutes)
C Michael Doleac (4.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.6 apg in 13.2 minutes)
New York receives:
C Marcus Camby (7.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 27.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.2 ppg, -3.5 rpg, and -1.2 apg.

Denver trades:
C Marcus Camby (7.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 27.1 minutes)
Denver receives:
C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.0 apg in 39 games)
C Michael Doleac (4.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.6 apg in 32 games)
Change in team outlook: +8.2 ppg, +3.5 rpg, and +1.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to New York being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

There are strictly centers in this trade, and the numbers are pretty balanced.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Martin is right. Camby would be a nice fit but thats a bad trade for us. To me Frank stays unless I get blown away with an offer, or can trade him on draft day for a the rights to a bigman we LOVE.

Other wise let him grow into a Bobby Jackson role, which could be SO valueable.

Camby wants to opt out and get something in the $7-$8 mill range. Personally for that $ I would rather take a risk on his teammate Chris Anderson for something close to the full MLE. Its overpaying but who cares... its MSG.

man that would be the worst trade in Knicks history.. I don't think I'd trade Frank for him straight up lol I think we need to go after a guy like camby but only lose othella, Sweetney, Doleac

This trade works on REALGM

Wallace and Woods for KVH and Harrington. NY throws in future first or second round.

As far as the comment on the up and coming pg, i would trade frank. I think hes gonna be a great player, but now that we have marbury, i think hes one of only good trading pieces we have left. people used to say that having 3 pg w/ ward eisley and frank were too many, but now when we get a great pg in marbury who should b playing about 40 minutes a game, you think that we should hold onto all of our pgs? Id b all for trading norris and keepin frank, but i dont think many people want him

I think Norris happened before Zeke knew he could get Steph. Moochie was a "anything's better than Spoon" trade.

I keep Frank because he can have a valueable role on this team THIS year. Also Steph can guard bigger players, so playing them together in a 3 guard alingment has a lot of promise.

I dont want to trade Frank just to better balance the roster. If he goes for another major building piece than so be it. I would consider trading Frank for Chris Wilcox. But only if I could move Deke and Kurt for Ratliff. That gives us a HUGE upgrade in frontcourt age and athleticicsm.

pg Steph
sg Houston
sf KVH
pf Wilcox
c Ratliff
With Penny, Shandon, Othella, Sweetney and Doleac on the bench I love that group.

I feel like some of you guys are throwing Kurt Thomas's name around WAY too much. Seriously, the guy basically averages a double double and is one of our few solid defensive players. I wouldnt trade him for Camby, Wilcox, or any of these bums. Maybe Rasheed, but honestly I feel like KT is the perfect pick and roll guy for Marbury. Look at the numbers hes been putting up since Marbury came here. I cant think of a better 4th option in the league.

And another thing...Im sure most of you have been following this squad for years, so you know how great it was when we use to put Mason, Starks, Oakley, and Xavier McDaniel on the floor. Toughest groups of guys since Isiah's Piston squad. I see alot of that in Kurt Thomas and I almost feel like hes playing in the wrong Knick era. Maybe Im nostalgic, but I dont ever wanna lose this guy.

been there, done that, fellas. we know camby is good when healthy but will he remain healthy. plus camby has ill feelings towards norman scott. last time i checked zeke did not fire him. we do need athleticism but camby is not the answer. i am glad he is having a solid year though.

i'd do it.. camby would start for us right away whereas we can hardly find minutes for frank. plus i think camby would be better than thomas, plus hes younger.

no way would denver take othella, doleac, or sweetney for camby...that would be a joke to offer that.

They certainly wouldn't take FW for him. If they would I'd do it in a second. Much better fit for the team - even if damn injury prone.

I wouldn't trade thomas for Camby. I really like Cambys' game but he's too injury prone. Plus I think Thomas and Camby are complementary type players as they have such different strengths and weaknesses. I was replying to the FW for Camby idea - which I would do.
