Walsh's Plan B
10:33AM ET
New York Knicks

As LeBron James nears his decision Thursday night, the Knicks still have a shot.

But they have Plan B ready to roll out just in case.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, a sign-and-trade sending David Lee to the Warriors for Anthony Randolph and Ronny Turiaf could come into clearer focus, a deal we mentioned Wednesday.

Without LeBron, the Knicks will have more money to target a point guard.

But Isola wrote that the team could pass on Raymond Felton, perhaps the priciest point guard free agent.

"The Knicks are also in the market for a point guard, and according to a team official, the club may pass on signing Raymond Felton to a long-term contract because it wants the flexibility to pursue Chris Paul, Deron Williams or Tony Parker next year," he wrote. "In that case, there is a strong chance the Knicks would look to sign veteran Luke Ridnour, who can start or be a backup."

It has been previously reported that the Knicks may preserve cap space for next summer in order to target other big names, and with Parker being a free agent after this next season, this thinking would line up with that.

id rather go for the better pg's then pick up felton. maybe rubio/collison are on the board for some type of trade next, though i think rubio isnt gonna be in the nba till 2012 at the earliest regardless of the team that has his rights.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!
